Bengals defense against the Saints without Burfict or even Vigil...this can't end well.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins

Would having those guys change the outcome much, if at all? Unfortunately, I suspect not.

The only game where both of them started against the Dolphins was our defenses best game. In 4 out of the 5 games that were played with Vigil as our starting LB we held the oppossing QB to under 7 yards per attempt.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Probably won't from a Win-Loss perspective but might help in terms of severity of point differential and/or yardage differential.

Using the Dolphins as a point of comparison fails greatly because their offense isn't in the same stratosphere as the Saints.

Why is it hating to lack faith in a defense that has the potential to be historically bad. I would much rather be singing the praise of how outstanding they've been, but they have yet to give us an opportunity to do so, except on a few occasions.

All signs indicate that Vigil is finally coming along in Year 3 to become a solid LB in the NFL, which is when a lot of rookies take that next step. Perhaps we need to quit writing off so many players based on their performance in Years 1-2.

Burfict is injured? What the freak.

Gio, Price, and Ross will help for sure. The backers position is already thin and Nickerson is not the answer. Ugh.

This team is dealing with an array of injuries to be sure. Hopefully, as the season progresses, they can get much healthier.

He is too the answer...if the question is...whose dad was a really good LB?

There offense was rolling with Ryan Tannehill as QB. Also Albert Wilson, Jermi Grant, Kenny Stills,  and Kenyean Drake is a solid unit.

Bleacher Report?  Saint's #1 now
, Bengals at #12  That's....in spite of HUGE injury issues.
Price and Green are uncertain, as is Ross. Look at guys we got Rd 1.  Dennard and Eifort .. out.
Ced Og?    Bengals already gave up TRYING to make him useful..
Dunlap is fine.  Fitzpatrick?   a bit dinged and kinda average at best. Jackson?  Clearly our top CB

Then too........Kroft and Lawson had breakout years, ALSO injured.   #3 TE Uzomoh was looking good...he's injured.
Vigil is out awhile, Vontaz, dinged up.

were the Bengals FAIRLY healthy... odd are they'd be pretty good.
