Oh cmon.. Now we have the great Conner Cook which will make our offense ... uhhh.. Something.

I picked up Saints TE Watson on my fantasy team simply because the Bengals suck so bad at covering TEs.

It's an odd week for me cause I have Brees, Thomas, Kamara, Mixon, Boyd and Dalton and I'm sitting in 1st place. Difficult to sit the Saints when their offense puts up such good numbers and the Bengals D just ain't getting it done against good offenses.

I'll definitely be starting Mixon, but with Green out I just don't know how Boyd is going to handle going up against Lattimore. If Ross is ever going to show up, this would be the week for him to do it.

Worth noting that the Saints actually have a pretty awesome rushing defense. They are actually 1st place with only 76 yards per game allowed.

This game feels like the playoff game against the Colts a few years ago where the Bengals were without Green and Eifert and the Colts just stacked the box against the rush.

I know and that did give me pause on Mixon. However, with Green out I'm more or less hoping Mixon gets targets out of the backfield.

That could happen. It's also worth noting that while the Saints have given up so few yards per game on the ground, they have given up eight rushing TDs, which is tied for 9th most in the league. That might be what allows Mixon to have a good day fantasy-wise.

I have not seen enough of the Saints to tell how good their run defense is, but I know that teams that are often ahead fore the opponenet to throw more which makes the run defense look better.

Very true.  A more telling stat than ypg would be ypc.

Dennard heading to rehab field...out of sling

Not practicing-likely still out for several more weeks
Vigil still in knee brace
Kroft still in boot

Not practicing-likely to be back later this week

Uzomah-shoulder
Boling-back

Not practicing-return is anybody's guess
Burfict-hip

Not Practicing-not at practice...return (we're praying)
Green...at specialist today

Glad to have Price, Gio and Ross back. Should help with AJ being out.

LB's are still a huge question mark with both Vigil and Burfict out. Eventually we are going to need to give Malik a shot
to go along with Preston and Evans. No more Nickerson please, bring up Worley from the PS.

Vigil and Burfict (and Kroft) all are on the rehab field for the first time today joining Dennard out there.

Is Burfict finished, washed up?  Seems to me he has a long way to go to prove he isn't.

Saints also lead the league in defensive YPC at 3.4.

The entire saints OL is on the injury report and did not have a full practice yesterday.

So our team is very likely to get the most receiving yards in this game with 2 backs vs the Saints?!?!?! OMG now THIS would be unprecedented. Wow

Saints have not played many teams with a stellar running game. Although, they did hold Gurley to 68yds last week. That alone is impressive. They are 1st against the run but are also 31st against the pass. Depending on how healthy Gio is here, this could be a good game for him and mixon as well in the passing game. If we have to make up for the loss of AJ, this is a good plan to go to from time to time throughout the game, but should not be the sole plan. Erickson and Boyd should both have decent numbers. If they do along with Mixon and Gio, then they planned the right strategy in attacking the Saint's D.

Gurley beat them a lot in the passing game and we know Mixon and Gio are both good in the passing game.

Let them load the box and we can tear them a new one.

Hoping for Ross to take the top off in this game, man, need this to happen soon. Getting tired of apologizing for this guy. Whatever
