1993 Raiders redux
#1
It seems like deja vu all over again.

Bengals winless late in the year (0-10).

Bengals starting a young unproven QB (David Klingler).

Heavily favored Raiders (-9) rolling toward playoffs.

But Klingler completed 70% of his passes to guys like TE David Frisch, and WRs Wesley Carroll and Patrick Robinson. And a balanced Bengal running attack (Ostell Miles even had 3 carries) kept the Raiders off balance as the Bengals built a 13-0 lead through three quarters. Raiders scored 10 in the 4th, but Bengals held on for huge 16-10 upset.

Bengals end up going 3-3 over the final 6 weeks of the season, but still have the #1 overall pick in the next draft.

Is your memory really that good or do you search for connections like these?

I remember bits and pieces, but sometimes when I research my memory is wrong.
