It's people that think like you and your partial information is why my Mom suffered much more than she needed to when she died last August, when she died from a failing heart while battling brain cancer, lung cancer and going blind. I know, since I don't have a link, most of you will think this is bullshit, but I don't give a ****. Honestly, I dig your posts in the Jungle but, in here, your posts read like a FoxNews bot.

As stated in another thread, I live in Anchorage and outside of Anchorage is MAGA country(mostly the Mat-Su Valley).

She was in the ICU with 7 other patients. 8 people being taken care of by 6 very good nurses and my Mom was the only one not from the valley with Covid, which their hospital was overloaded, and was the only vaccinated patient in the ICU. Since she was terminal, after a few days of great care, my Mother was sent to the heart specialists so they could give up her bed to another idiot that thinks like you. After a year and a half of wearing masks and taking the vaccine because it was the only way to spend time around my ill and very vulnerable mother, I had little sympathy while listening to them crying "please help me" from the next rooms. Suddenly now, these freedom motherfvckers believe in science. "LIBERATE MICHIGAN!!!"

The dropoff in quality of the ICU nurses to the nurses in the heart specialists was staggering as it was now a 1 nurse to 5 patient ratio with much less knowledge and skill. It was like pulling teeth to get them to come into the room to unhook my mom from all of the equipment just so she could go to the bathroom which gave her much stress when she needed to be relaxed.

If it wasn't for the lockdown, there would have been no beds for any emergency or standard procedures. I notice this fact is conveniently and consistently left out of almost every single Republican talking point about lockdowns and vaccines. When the lockdown happened, little to no car accidents, little to no work injuries, no bar fights, less crime and, for some reason, the hospitals were still completely filled up. Now imagine, no lockdown and no hospitals available for any regular injuries. Those lives saved are never in Republicans projections because they're all about politics . . . not facts.

My Mom spent every visit to the cancer and heart doctors at Providence hospital leading up to her siezure that sent her to the hospital for good. Big problem with that seizure, though. If she had it 70 minutes earlier, she would have been in Providence, but because the Anchorage hospitals were filled with MAGAtards from the valley, my Mother was sent to Alaska Regional because the hospitals were shut off for 24 hours at a time. They inundated one hospital at a time for 24 hours and then gave them 24 hours respite to recover before their next 24 hours. Why? Because of people that think like you were filling up the hospitals. Instead of the same doctors and nurses on hand to to take care of my Mom, every doctor and nurse had to take time to read up and learn about all of her conditions while still trying to take care of other patients in the ICU.

So if my posts lately seem like I feel Republicans are nothing but loudmouth, stupid pieces of shit, that's why. "But my freedoms" to me are code words for "I'm afraid of needles but I'm just too damned chickenshit to admit it".

C'mon Nate, you're much smarter than that.  Much like Obama's "revelation" on same sex marriage or the Dems sudden aversion to "defund the police" this change was due to polling numbers and politics.

I realize that, but it also indicates a voter base that will disagree with them.

If I believed in conspiracies I'd say democrats praised the vaccine so Republicans wouldn't get it.

I also know people who didn't get vaccinated, got covid, almost died from it and have long term effects who are worried about what the booster is going to do to me. It's nice they care but geez, change your mind sometimes.

Wow, well you win the long jump competition in jumping to conclusions. For your information, I am fully vaccinated and have been since I was able to get the shots. But that was my decision, not some politician in DC's. Sorry for what your mom went through, but the information is now coming out about what lockdowns did and did not actually do (and it's actually being reported) and it's all pointing to the did more harm than good. As for mandatory vaccines, my body, my choice, right? They don't keep a person from getting or spreading the virus. So the protection is for the vaccinated individual, so it should be up to them, right?

I think he's more annoyed that people who choose to not get the vaccine clog up the hospitals when they choose to go get treatment they probably wouldn't have needed in the first place.

Well, if it's being reported, then it must be true and not slanted. Your link mentioned Covid deaths, I mentioned how it affected and saved non-covid patients. More of partial information being good enough for you if it fits your politics or preferred "News feed".

Yes, vaccines during a pandemic is exactly like abortion, perfect analogy. When getting pregnant by being in the same room someone pregnant was in an hour ago happens and it happens to men or women, then you might have a comparison. The Trojan vaccine, maybe?

My mom was protected and they gave up her quality care to try to save someone unprotected from over 50 miles away and it wasn't up to her or me.

What is wrong with Boob Milk? What did we give them before formula was available? Seems like our species has made it a long time without formula. People are too dependent on science . Give me the 40 million. Use your own milk or make something else.

Mostly being a smart ass here. But give me the money.

Feel bad he lost his mom. It really sucks.

He's not the only person that has.
Dad got it (was mild on him) he passed it to my mom and his dad, both passed 2/3 months later. How do you think Dad feels?
Grandpa was vaccinated, Mom's age group was authorized on her 3rd day in the hospital.. too late.
I got mine asap. Another friend of mine got his asap, and just recently got over his 3rd time with the COVID (I stay far away from him).

Coming on here and taking it out on people on the message board just cause you disagree with their political views is wrong.

People do have to work as well. So can't be there 24/7, then there is the whole pumping thing that they aren't comfortable with.
Some women just can't get the hang of breast feeding, or don't produce enough, so there's plenty of other reasons as well.

If I came on here to take it out on someone, it would have been in August and it would have been a hell of a lot more abrasive. He said some minor shit that finally pissed me off, but I guess that's OK if it's within your political spectrum.

And my Mom didn't die of Covid. She just suffered more than she should have because of someone else's political beliefs.

And I laugh at any of the idiots in the anti-vax crowd. While going through boxes of shit at Mom's house, I found my polio vaccine card. You're welcome, assholes.

I get pissed at the anti-vax crowd as well, but it's not just Republicans make up that group.
It includes people from all political and non-political spectrums, as well as Religious/non-religious groups.

Very true, and I didn't mean everyone, just the idiots. A friend of mine has some condition where she can't take antibiotics or get the vaccine. So when this all went down, she sold her house and bought a cabin with an awesome two story shop about 12 miles outside of Soldotna, a town of about 4,700 that's 135 miles south of Anchorage. She took no chances.

Love that shop, though. I told her the old joke "Single man seeks seeks single woman. Must have own shop. Please send pictures of shop."

We gave them things like polio and small pox and an incredibly brutal life expectancy until a certain age until science came in and ****** that all up. Damn you medical science!

What is 'baby formula' ?

I'm not sure what is in this bill other than the headline, but it looks like $28 million, aka the amount politicians find in their couches, is on the way to combat this shortage.  Over 94% of the republican votes were against this, so I'm not sure what their issue was with it.

Because it hurts people and that's what they like the most.

As long as it doesn't hurt rich fellows.

Seems to me that it would give a small group, access to alot more Formula than the general public would have. Which would likely make the situation worse for the majority.

Gee, did the Polio vaccine get restricted in the US for causing life threatening blood clots? Because the Johnson and Johnson covid vaccine did, after thousands upon thousands took it. You can be all smug and call people idiots all you want, but the bottom line is no one really knows what the long term effects of these vaccines are. Like I said, I took it after doing the research because it made sense for me to take it, and I chose the Pfizer. But I made that choice, and I give other people the space to do the same. And it's not political beliefs. Most of the people in Louisville are hard line Democrats, and I know a ton of them who refused to be vaccinated.
