George W. Bush was demonstrably worse.  He lied to get us into a war to avenge his father, save his father's legacy and give Cheney and his cronies a chance to make a lot of money.  Hundreds of thousand of people were killed and maimed, the region was further destabilized, leading to the fresh hell of ISIS.  He also suspended the war in Afghanistan so we could pointlessly invade Iraq, allowing Bin Laden and other senior Al Queda members to escape for years to come.  Iran gained a lot more influence over the region.  On the home front he utterly squandered an enormous budget surplus to bribe his way into office.  He ballooned the deficit with tax cuts for the wealthy and exorbitant spending on two separate wars.  He squandered the goodwill of almost the entire world after 9/11 with his hamfisted handling of the resulting conflicts.  He finally gave some credence to the oft spoken idea that the US is an imperialist nation. If I felt like digging I'm sure I could come up with more, this was all off the top of my head.

Trump deserves to be castigated for his many failings, but he did far less damage than W did, by far.

We will see here in a year or two as they usually survey presidential scholars with an even disbursement between DEM/REP/LIB and rank all the Presidents, it's kind of a cool thing as it shows survey over survey change and how people move over time. As for Tump, I was going off his record-low approval rating over his tenure (although his lowest was 4 points higher than Bush's), multiple time impeached (including highest bi-partisan support ever), etc. Although I think it's at least fair to say he is in the discussion for worst, which is really all that matters in painting just how bad the shitshow was the last four years.

I am excited to get to four years of hopefully uneventful stuff. If Biden is a Jimmy Carter, forgettable type of presidency I would just be so happy at this point.

I drove a 911 Turbo back in the late 90's (not mine either....lol)
It handled like it was on a rail, but my gosh there was no foot room to work the clutch like I'd like to.

I drive a Chrysler 300 S, now.
My wife developed a disease called Dysautonomia.
She couldn't drive anymore (as she passes out) and was uncomfortable on the long numerous drives to Cleveland Clinic.
I put my big boy pants on, traded in the Mustangs, and got the comfy 300 to accommodate her needs.

(It's a car thread, now ! Suck it, Joe Biden !)

I'd take that as well, hopefully not with the same results in Iran.

The 300 is a solid car.  The older I get the less I'm inclined towards a pure sports car.  I like a nice car that is also fast.  The 300 is definitely something I looked at prior to buying the Magnum.

First, covid was no big deal. It would disappear. Then, it was still no big deal. No need for a mask, etc.

Now, he was able to do it during the worst pandemic ever. Huh?  Shocked

Did he really say 1918, or 1917? Because the "really smart guy" never did get that right and kept saying the wrong year.

I mean it's not a surprise that he didn't know history, wouldn't learn from a mistake or change what he said based on factual information but it's still kind of funny.

You'd be surprised at how roomy a Dodge Charger is.

My recollection is, he paused a bit then said 1918. I wasn't exactly all the way awake at the time but i kind of remember thinking, i think you're a bit off bub.

EDIT: Nope. He said 1917.

I like Chargers, too.
I just felt that with the 300 being originally a Mercedes design, it might be the better choice.
The AWD is great.
I imagine the Charger and Challenger GT are comparable.

I just meant if you ever wanted to go back to the sports coup look while maintaining a roomy interior, might be worth looking at.

The 300 is a fantastic machine, though. The people I know who drive them swear by them.
