49ers release G Mike Person
#1
Cap casualty. Started 14 games including all playoff games last season. Scheduled to make $2.5 million. He's 31 but could provide some veteran leadership for a young line

Fueled by the pursuit of greatness.

If we aren’t going to trade Dalton and pick up a veteran lineman, if this guy would sign for 2.5-3 million why not. Get as much competition as we can and it would be another addition from a playoff team. Still would like to sign Peters as well.

If the Bengals think removing Miller and bringing in XSF is going to fix all the OL problems, they are delusional.
All the Guards last year were bad.
XSF has a couple great plays mixed with a lot of bad ones. It's not likely he's going to play at a Pro Bowl level all of a sudden. And he's still better than Michael Jordan, Billy Price, and Alex Redmond (right now).
Person would come in as the best or second-best OG and should start along with XSF. XSF at LG, Person at RG.
Have Jordan, Price, and Redmond battle it out for the backup spots.
Whichever ones stick will have a chance to groom for another year without being forced into a starting role.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Patience has paid off!

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Hoping for Person to end up here for sure. Him or Peters or both.
