A Mock I Would Not Be Excited With
#1
1) Bernhard Raimann, OL Central Michigan - I don't like how he's older but still relatively inexperienced. Plus, his really short arms will make it very difficult to stick at OT. But the Bengals new assistant OL coach was at CMU Raimann's freshman year, so I could see this pick happening.

2) Travis Jones, DT UConn - If the Bengals were looking for a replacement to Reader, I'd like Jones. But he's a pocket-pushing NT, not a true pass rushing threat.

3) Marcus Jones, CB/RS Houston - I think Jones could be a great slot CB and return specialist, but he's just too small to handle outside coverage duties. And I want someone who will stick outside and has the length to cover bigger receivers.

4) Matt Araiza, P San Diego St - I think Araiza's a fine punter, but it's too early for a punter, IMO. Rd 4 is usually where Bengals get a good rotational player on O/D.

5) Daniel Bellinger, TE San Diego St - I can understand the appeal of Bellinger, but I just get Drew Sample vibes from him. I don't want another Sample.

6) Kevin Austin, WR Notre Dame - Dude just seems too much of a feast or famine kinda guy. Teams will drool over his size-speed combo, but it should be concerning that he's only had one season of production in college. Kinda reminds me of Cody Core. Fans would get excited at first but get disappointed when he's not making much of a contribution.

I’m with you on Austin, but in round 6 I’d be happy with him. Earlier than that he concerns me a little more.

Overall I agree with your thread title lol

My reasoning for not being happy would be if he's the WR4.
If the Bengals had a better WR4 and he was WR5 or WR6, I'd be more ok with him.
