You already had points in my book, but that lets me know you're a man of character.

I wish he were back.
He added a dimension that is sorely missed.
Like him, or not....he was a man of conviction and spurred much discussion.

I don't know if the ramblings of a mad man made for good discussion, but you didn't say good discussion.

Meh I'm pretty liberal and I kinda miss him.  I don't think I could've disagreed with anyone politically more, but I had some fun conversations with him.  I honestly think he was just playing the part of troll.  Kinda like "Sloppy Lombardi Slaps"  I don't know if you remember him, but it was comical, and I think it was Bengalzona that got to know "Sloppy" a bit more personal and said that while yes sloppy was conservative, most of it was an act.  Correct me if I'm wrong Zona.

Sloppy was(is) a conservative. But his opinions weren't nearly as crazy as some of his threads. He was much more moderate in real life. He just liked to 'stir the pot' with off-the-wall posts. My favorite was the one where he waterboarded himself just to see what it felt like. Hilarious

Sloppy got married and stopped posting shortly after that. I think they had a baby on the way last I heard.

BTW - Lucie is not necessarily gone forever. He will have an opportunity to return. Same with Brad.

Is bad that I didn't notice Brad was gone?  Mellow

I don't think Lucy was a troll though.  I think he believed what he said.  There have been enough of those around here over the years.

Believe or not though I am glad he has an opportunity to come back.

Although this thread is about my awesomeness I will say this about Lucie. He was a Libertarian on thi board before being a Libertarian was cool.

I'll bet most that disagreed with his stances would gladly take the person he always wanted for POTUS (Rand Paul) over what we are getting.

That is a fact !
For a manlet, Rand is pretty awesome.

But.... Lucie is a Libertarian-leaning Republican.
That's what I thought I was, but I've found that I'm a Republican-leaning Libertarian.

I believe the more libertarian on this board pointed out that Lucy wasn't libertarian hardly at all.

Also I'd take almost anyone over Trump...

That's almost as funny as you claiming Jill Stein won that poll she clearly didn't win. Lucie's views on abortion, contraception, immigration, unions, public bathrooms aren't in keeping with the Liberterian platform. When it comes to decriminalizing marijuana he thinks it should be a state issue. Libertarians don't believe state governments should be involved in activities the federal government shouldn't be involved in.  State rights are his answer to almost everything except when the federal government should enforce his view on others. About the only time his views align with Libertarian views is there should be no government involvement enforcing nondiscrimation policies because a free market will punish bigots.

As for me claiming she won a poll she clearly didn't win. Post 19 of this thread is what I was referring to:

As to the rest of your post: I'll go by what dude said. He had no reason to lie about being a Libertarian and supporting Rand Paul before others on the board uttered the word Libertarian.

I get that you find it important to prove folks wrong; I'm just not sure why.

no harm :andy:

I was talking more about Lucie and his pov on issues. No issue with recalling some of the more memorable moments from sls, who, if I'm being honest, is one of the posters I miss the most. We rarely agreed on anything outside of smacktalk, but he was fun to talk to.

Really? You claimed Jill Stein won a poll Neb posted.  However, in reality, Pat posted the poll, not Neb.  Then using a run off system we don't even use (posted by Tree), your own tabulation of the votes indicated Jill Stein didn't win.  Rather there was a tie between Stein and Johnson.  (However, if you check the current results, Johnson won.)  You also declared this a liberal forum based upon a sample size of 22 total votes in which the liberal candidates received the minority of votes.  Furthermore, you used a run off system based upon rankings and tabulated votes without knowing individual's rankings.  For example, according to my ISideWith results Jill Stein and I agree on the issues more than the other candidates.  However, I wouldn't rank her any higher than third.

Long story short, everythink you wrote is wrong.  Literally, everything.

Sounds like something I read on a t-shirt.

I'm not sure why you think we should just blindly believe anything anyone claims.  You started this thread for attention.  I made your wish come true.  It isn't my fault everything you wrote is wrong.  That's your fault.  But, hey, shout out.

I simply agreed with Neb when he asked was it the thread he started. I remember remember taking Matt's (Actually it was Tree) method and employing it in the "Isidewith thread. Stien got the most first place votes.

If you want to proclaim that as an "everythink you wrote is wrong.  Literally, everything." moment; then that speaks volumes about your mentality and your "purpose" in this forum.

I actually started this thread as a light-hearted parallel to Zona's "Shout out to the PRers" thread, but some folks are more motivated by ugliness.

In the spirit of conversation I have recently started replying to those I once identified as nothing more that those that wanted to cause decisiveness in this forum. I now see that may have been a mistake on my part (and before we start playing Pigeon Chess; it has absolutely nothing to do with "being called out".

So to recap.

Bfine insulting people who disagree with him = "lighthearted"

Anyone insulting Bfine = "ugliness"

Typical.

I apologize if you or others were insulted by the OP and my attempt at satire.

Apology accepted.

But for future reference you need to realize that it is hard to take something as satire when it is basically the exact same position you have tried to make many times in very serious threads.  It is like a KKK member trying to claim he is "just kidding" when he tells a racist joke.

Pretty extreme comparison, don't you think?
