A Tale of Three INTs
#1

The Raiders from the West, the town full of lights, strolled in to PBS with a playoff win in their sights.

Carr as their leader, with weapons abound, took shots on the defense who played very sound.

They didn't allow much, they held him down, but one final drive...fans began to frown.

It was Pratt, who got the pick, sealed the game, and sent the men of Cincy to the next round.

A week later, they face the team of Titans, in the Music City.

So many doubted them, so many gave them no chance, it really was a pity.

They traded blows, their leader sacked nine times. It began to look bleak.

Then it was young Wilson, who gathered in the pick, to extend the streak.

On to Arrowhead, to face Mahomes, the main Chief.

Surely this would be the end of the Bengals. There is no way, so much disbelief.

The Bengals were down by eighteen, seemingly buried deep.

Only the men in stripes believed. Only they had faith to keep.

The mighty tandem of Bates and Bell created the final pick,

and McPherson's leg...would be true, and he would make the kick.

Three interceptions, by three different Bengals. All three continued the story. The Bengals are in the Super Bowl,

and are headed for glory.

Coming into the playoffs my biggest concern was our pass defense.

Now we have won 3 straight with big plays in pass defense while our offense struggles to get in the end zone. (32 possessions with only 5 tds).

It doesn't make much sense but this is the way the NFL works. Winning a championship is as much about getting hot at the right time as it is talent level. And our pass defense seems to be playing better than it did all during the regular season.

Thank our safeties. We are getting some great play from both safeties. Bates is playing amazing in the 1 safety high sets and Bell is simply doing everything great. Supporting the run, robbing the middle, just everything is going his way. Your corners can kinda play average when your safeties are playing this good.

Hendrickson is still the key that unlocks the pass D but there have been players that have stepped up
