What would we do with him? We have 6 safeties on the roster now....

I'd be all for it if he could play ST's. He'd be a backup here, and our backup safety's need to play ST's to have much value. Better off sticking with the young guys.

Slauson was just release as well by them.


Slauson, who made 12 starts at left guard and four at center last season, is out after three years in Chicago. He has appeared in 88 games with 85 starts over seven seasons with the New York Jets (2009-12) and Bears (2013-15).

if the bears are parting ways with an OL guy dont touch
