School uniform policy.

I'm also telling you what you have to wear.

I'm draconian like that.

Also, if you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding

Did you know pudding isn't pudding as we think of it, but rather just means dessert.  Yeah you probably did.

My biggest argument here is the manic like need it seems to point out how people who say they are libertarians aren't.  Libertarianism seems to be made up of like 10 fascist factions who demand strict adherence to every belief.

LOL

It's an equal, but opposite reaction to their demands to strict adherence to their every belief.

This is a little embarrassing, but I can't tell if you are agreeing with me or laughing at me.

LOS GATOS, Calif. - The father of a California middle school girl is standing up for his daughter after she was cited for violating her school’s controversial dress code.

According to KTVU, officials at Fisher Middle School in Los Gatos, near San Jose, informed 13-year-old Demetra Alarcon that the romper she wore to school recently was distracting to boys. Her father, Tony, brought her a change of clothes — jean shorts and a tank top — but school officials determined that outfit was inappropriate as well. Luckily, the father found a pair of leggings in the car as backup, but says the dress code unfairly targets girls.

“I mean, today it’s 90 degrees outside, and she’s wearing leggings because she doesn’t want to be dress-coded for wearing shorts. And it’s not OK. It needs to change,” Tony Alarcon told CBS News.

He told the Mercury News: “Demetra isn’t alone. Just sit in Fisher’s parking lot, and you’ll see that. I’ve heard from multiple girls that they just want to be comfortable, but they feel like they’re being pushed into wearing leggings in 100-degree heat. I was told by an administrator that the girls’ clothes are a distraction to the boys. That shouldn’t be a concern.”

The new school year is barely a few weeks old and already there's controversy brewing in Los Gatos. With temperatures at Fisher Middle School closing in on triple digits for August 28, 13 year old...

While Alarcon agrees students should be dressed appropriately for school, he doesn’t agree tank tops in extreme heat are inappropriate. He also added that it’s difficult to find girls’ shorts that meet the school’s 4-inch length requirement in most stores. He finds the regulations on girls’ clothing to be discriminatory, so he’s fighting back, saying, “You have to stand up for what’s right and that’s what I’m doing.”

The school district met last week to discuss the dress code but has not announced any changes. Fisher Principal Lisa Fraser defended the code in a statement that read, “There has always been a dress code. These are standards for reasonable decorum. I do reserve the right to set guidelines for the school, but I want to lead with the pulse of the community and reflect the community’s core values.”

she looks fine, and if there isn't a rule against boys wearing tank tops to school, there should be.  "Nobody's impressed!"

J/K. Agree. I think. They're all a little peculiar.

But the fact that a student just cant just up and leave is unrelated to the notion that a dress code is some sort of big government overreach. It is not.

I think we can all agree that government polices WE like with are not overreach.  It's the other guy's policies that go too far.

She wouldn't be able to wear that in our local district.

Why?

Is there a required uniform?

Or are the boys there distracted by boobs they can see the shape of through a shirt?

Because they have one of those dress codes Lucie claims are unnecessary.

Hold my beer; Lucie, please cite the specifics in your district's policy that outline exactly why she wouldn't be able to wear "that" in your local district.

I was told to give up my wallet chain in high school or go home. I was a little irritated, but I gave up the chain. I didn't run to the news and my parents would've sided with the school if I tried to fight it. Schools have dress codes and kids have been getting kicked out or forced to comply for years. What's the big deal? The girl's top wasn't too bad, but they probably have a rule on v-cut or low cut tops, and if they allow this one, then other girls will try to wear v-cut tops and say "well the other girl wore her's".
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.

Oh I'm sure these boys are using their imaginations.
Perhaps you never experienced that raging hormone phase as a high schooler.

To be fair, SOME boys weren't into girls.

Some serious government overreach there bro.

It isn't a big deal. Governments role in public education was established the 1780's.

Dress codes have been around forever and have zero do with government overreach, but a lot to do with liberal overreach because the liberal of today needs to find something new to ***** about or they're not happy.

That's really all it boils down to, and these agenda's and liberal games constantly lead to people playing victim for 15 minutes of fame (or a payday), which only speeds the downfall of this country. People are becoming entitled b****s with zero respect for authority of any kind, whether it be teachers, military, police or the POTUS.

Yeah the comment aimed at McCain was regrettable, but actions speak louder than words. As President, he made April 9th a day of recognition for POW's.

Not sure what you're referring to with the generals.

We already have a National POW/MIA Recognition Day on the 3rd Friday of every September as established by Congress as part of the 1998 Defense Authorization Act. So that's like Trump creating a day to recognize Christmas in July.

Trump knows as much as the generals. And let's not forget, Trump claimed he received the same military training at his boarding school as soldiers deploying to Vietnam. So he's always felt like he was in the military.
