Bengals lack of success is killing legacies.

Growing up as a Bengals fan, I was very proud
Of the fact that our own.great players retired as Bengals.
Reggie Williams, Bob Trumpy, Ken Anderson, Issac Curtis
Jim LeClair, on and on.

But going back many decades, our great players are not ending
Their careers as Bengals......
Carl Pickens, Takeo Spikes, Chad Johnson, Carson Palmer,Vontaze Burfict, Jermaine Gresham, Willie Anderson,Carlos Dunlap
T.J Houshmanzedah, Andy Dalton, and now A.J Green.

I really thought AJ was going to be a Bengals till.He hung it up.
He was a pros pro. He was a elite player with a work ethic 2nd to none.

Im.tired of this franchise and its utter failure to establish anything
More than playoff exits 6 years ago.
Now its lead by a HC who wants to.convince the fanbase
That he has a plan to elevate us into the conversation with
The Chiefs and Browns as AFC powers.
Im.tired of seeing its great players finish their careers in another
Uniform.

Meh, it has always happened all over the league.  You just don't notice because they are not Bengals

Franco Harris and Jerry Rice ended their careers in Seattle.
Emmitt Smith with the Cards.
O.J. Simpson with the Forty Niners.
Joe Namath with the Rams
Johnny Unitas with the Chargers.

Even Anthony Munoz signed with Tampa Bay, but was cut before the season started.

Hell, I sort of like seeing players in one-year-wonder uniforms that look wacky.

Let's see...

Tom Brady on the Buccaneers
Mike Webster on the Chiefs
Jerry Rice on a bunch of teams that weren't the 49ers
Joe Montana on the Chiefs
Tim Brown on the Buccaneers

and so on...I'd say the issue is with how many players leave the Mike Brown-era Bengals on bad terms beyond "I think I should still be getting paid to play football."

There's some merit there....but you're forgetting that those first cats played before free agency....

"Better send those refunds..."

Dont feel bad, Joe Montana ended his career with the Chiefs. Yes, the GOAT of the 80s.

Leclair had a post Bengals football career.

Dunlap is a FA, so maybe he returns and retires a Bengal...

Montana was still a pretty good QB when he played for the Chiefs.  Made the Pro Bowl and took them to the AFC Championship game.
