Bengals may be better than we think
#21
Every team faces injuries, but good coaches find ways to still get some wins.

Look no further than the 49ers, who have only had their starting QB (Garoppolo) and primary pass catcher (Kittle), and primary RB (Mostert) out for 6 games. They are also on their 4th or 5th Center due to injuries. Yet they still are 5-7 while being 20th in Points For and 14th in Total Yards. Their defense hasn't had Kwon Alexander for 7 games and hasn't had Richard Sherman for 9 games, but their defense is 13th in Points Allowed and 6th in Yards Allowed.

Shanahan is a proven offensive playcaller, and Saleh is a great defensive playcaller. They find ways to have success even without their star players being out there.

Injuries are affecting the Bengals no doubt, but Taylor and Anarumo are not doing a good enough job to adjust the playcalling to what players they do have healthy and also to counter what the opposing team is doing.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Patience has paid off!

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Since we played them the Giants beat the Seahawks at Seattle and the Redskins just beat the Steelers at Pittsburgh.

Things are not as bleak as it appears. Granted we need 3 Offensive lineman for next year but that can be accomplished.

Long live Zach Taylor!

Zac!

There's really no coaches with experience for him to learn from here. IF we had Del Rio, he would have atleast had a guy who was a HC before on staff to help out.

Nope. They hired totally inexperienced guys that were his friends.

Just got to cut bait at this point before Burrow's career gets ruined.

The idea with hiring Zac was to follow Mcvays outline. That was to hire a young HC and get a DC with experience to learn from and steady the ship. They failed unless you count Simmons and Callahan, in which case I don’t know what either brings to the table since Simmons only knows special teams, and Zac doesn’t let Callahan call plays. If they hired Del Rio then at least the DC might of helped stem the bleeding.

But this has blown up in the Front offices face. Time to move in a different direction.

McVay had OC experience. Zac was a QB Coach under him for 1 year and the year before Assistant WR Coach. Then before that? A terrible OC at U of Cincy.
