Sadly, I don't see Joe Burrow's political equivalent showing up any time soon.

Actually, Biden is more like Josh McCown...he's nothing special and he's been around forever but he's not Johnny Manziel so meh...you take what you can get.
Biden is Brandon Weedon... Wait; how old are you?

The whole Let's Go Brandon is right there too.
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

We were also still in the middle of a pandemic, which, thanks to Biden, seems to be on the rebound.

I don't need any substance to counter the fact that Biden's doing a shitty job and is unfit to be POS[sic?] because, for the one millionth time, I agree that he's doing a shitty job and shouldn't be president.

How is it Biden's fault?  Last I checked his mandates were blocked by the supreme court and left to the discretion of the states and employers.  You can't simultaneously be glad his policy was blocked and then blame him for the resulting uptick in cases can you?

What's the actual mindset you have here?  I'm legimately curious as to what I'm missing on this one.

Difference is that Trump called people stupid for asking stupid for asking stupid questions and making stupid comments (did he ever call anyone stupid for asking honest questions or did he call the questions stupid or the were the reporters attacking him and asking stupid questions? Context matters) but he was being strong and just not bowing to the media that was out to slander him.

That's my response to your last post I quoted.

It seemed to be pretty well handled under Trump.

A good president would have found a way to get it through.

You think Peter Doocy's question was an honest question?  Interesting.

How does it feel to be biased to the point of delusion?

Explain how that wasn't an honest question?

Is it because it wasn't pre-screened by Biden's handlers do they could have a response prepared for him?

Doocy asking Biden if inflation is a political liability is not an actual question, it's an insult thinly veiled as a question.  Doocy's job is to get under Biden's skin and he did that.  The fact that you insist he was asking a legimately question and ascribing "honesty" to a biased member of the for-profit, outrage-driven media is akin to me asking you if you noticed that Joe Biden is your president.

Did you notice that?  That Trump lost?  How does it make you feel that your boy lost the election and Joe Biden is the president?  How did you feel when you woke up and saw the tide turn and all those states turn blue?

See, these aren't questions...they're just irritants disguised as questions.  Who would be fooled by this?  It's clearly ol' Nately being a message-board pot-stirrer, he's not actually genuinely interested in Brad's feelings, he just wants to get his jabs in and get a reaction.

So now that you can see that I'm a conniving jerk, apply that to Doocy.  Easy peasy!

Doocy's job is to ask questions pertaining to the country. The reason that it was on his way out was because, like I said, Biden's handlers pre-approved questions from people he was instructed to ask.

People voted on emotion, not policies or what's best for the country, which you're proving right now and is being proved by the recent polls.

Asking Trump what would say to people who are scared of the pandemic was pretty low.

What a nasty question.  That guy was terrible at his job.

I can assure you that we have all said something under our breath or after hanging up the phone that we wouldn't want other people to hear. Fox is looking to stick it to Biden, therefore his being annoyed by Doocy is completely understandable. He clearly didn't mean for his comment to be heard and I give him credit for being a man and calling Doocy afterwards to clear the air. Honestly, there's nothing to see here in my opinion.

President Donald Trump has consistently attacked reporters for asking critical questions during his daily coronavirus press briefings.
In some cases, the president has gone so far as to call reporters "terrible," "fake," and "nasty," and telling some that they're "never going to make it."

Trump has made it clear he prefers positive, easy news coverage of his coronavirus response; he even went out of his way during an April briefing to show a video lauding his administration's efforts over the past few months.

Here are 11 times the president has lashed out at reporters covering his coronavirus response.

On March 20, Trump called NBC News' Peter Alexander a "terrible reporter" for asking what Trump would say to Americans who felt afraid over the virus.

In late March, before the US had experienced the height of its outbreak and with many Americans unsure of what to make of the pandemic, Alexander asked the president to address Americans who might be afraid.

"What do you say to Americans who are watching you right now who are scared?" Alexander asked.

Trump immediately fired back with, "I say that you're a terrible reporter — that's what I say," and told Alexander his question was "very nasty" and put out a bad signal to Americans.

On March 29, Trump berated the "PBS NewsHour" reporter Yamiche Alcindor for asking what he called a "threatening" question about coronavirus equipment and told her to "be nice."

Alcindor asked Trump to address a statement in which he said governors didn't actually need the equipment they'd requested to combat the virus, but Trump cut her off.

"I didn't say that," he said.

But when she challenged him and cited the statement from an interview on Fox News, Trump responded by saying: "Come on, come on. Why don't you people — why don't you act in a little more positive? It's always, 'Getcha, getcha, getcha.' And you know what? That's why nobody trusts the media anymore."

He then went on to tell her: "Be nice. Don't be threatening."

In a tweet after the briefing, Alcindor wrote: "I'm not the first human being, woman, black person or journalist to be told that while doing a job. My take: Be steady. Stay focused. Remember your purpose. And, always press forward."

On April 3, Trump berated the CBS News reporter Weijia Jiang, accusing her of a "nasty tone" when asking him to clarify a statement from his son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

Jiang asked Trump to clarify a statement made one day earlier by Kushner, a White House senior adviser and the president's son-in-law, which implied the Strategic National Stockpile was reserved for the federal government rather than states.

Jiang was seeking clarification on what Kushner meant by "our stockpile" when he said, "The notion of the federal stockpile was it's supposed to be our stockpile — it's not supposed to be state stockpiles that they then use."

But the president quickly grew irritated by this question and began berating Jiang for asking what he called a "gotcha" question in a "nasty tone."
"It's such a basic simple question and you try and make it sound so bad," Trump said. "You ought to be, you ought to be ashamed, you know what? You ought to be ashamed."

On April 5, when a reporter from the Associated Press attempted to ask Trump about the government's slow coronavirus response, Trump cut him off and told him to stop asking "wise-guy questions."

On April 5, Trump cut off a reporter in the middle of a question about the slow government response to the coronavirus pandemic, and asked him, "Who are you with?"

When the reporter answered "Associated Press," Trump responded by saying the media outlet was "not so great" and "not like it used to be."
He then said the reporter should be thankful for what government agencies had done rather than ask "wise-guy questions."

On April 6, Trump lashed out against multiple reporters after questions over a report from the Department of Health and Human Services inspector general that said the federal government failed to provide hospitals with adequate tests and equipment.

Fox News' Kristin Fisher first attempted to ask Trump about the inspector general's report after a survey of hospitals suggested that testing remained severely limited, but Trump dismissed the report as "wrong."

After Fisher challenged him on that notion, the president asked her to confirm the inspector general's name and implied that partisan politics could be the reason for the negative report.

On the second time Fisher asked the question, Trump let out an annoyed sigh and told her she should "say congratulations, great job," about the administration's testing efforts instead of "being so horrid in the way you ask a question."

During the same press briefing, Trump called ABC's Jon Karl a "third-rate reporter" and said Karl would "never make it" after following up about the inspector general's report.

Quote:—Tommy Vietor (@TVietor08) April 6, 2020

After more questions came flooding in about the inspector general's report, Trump asked the group of reporters how long the inspector general had been in government.

When Karl, who recently published a book about Trump, replied that the principle deputy inspector general, Christi Grimm, had served in the previous administration, Trump lashed out.

"You mean the Obama administration," Trump said. "Thank you for telling me that. See, there's the typical fake-news deal."

"Look, you're a third-rate reporter," Trump added. "And what you just said is a disgrace, OK?"

He concluded: "You will never make it."

The president also berated Francesca Chambers of McClatchy after she asked a question about the Paycheck Protection Program and told her she's "just incapable of asking a question in a positive way."

When Chambers asked about a confusing start to the Paycheck Protection Program, Trump cut her off by saying he wished she asked the question differently by saying that the program got off to "a tremendous start" and that the problems had been worked out.

He then proceeded to tell her she was "incapable of asking a question in a positive way" and ended with saying, "I wish we had a fair media in this country, and we really don't."

On April 13, Trump called the CBS News reporter Paula Reid "a fake" after she asked the president to explain what his administration did to respond to the coronavirus in February.

After Trump played a video lauding the timeline of his coronavirus response, Reid noted that the video jumped from January to March, without information on what the administration did to combat the virus in February.

In a heated exchange, Reid grilled the president on what his administration did during that time gap, saying, "The time that you bought, the argument is that you didn't use it to prepare hospitals, you didn't use it to ramp up testing," and asked the president to explain the administration's efforts.

Trump fired back with "A lot, A lot," and told Reid pointedly: "Look, you know you're a fake. You know that. Your whole network — the way you cover it — is fake."

On April 19, Trump lashed out against the CBS News reporter Weijia Jiang again, telling her to "relax" after she asked him to address his administration's slow response to the outbreak in February.

Jiang began her question by asking Trump to address something he said a few days earlier, discussing how angry he was that information about the coronavirus wasn't given to the US early on.

She proceeded to ask the president why he didn't address the American people about the coronavirus sooner, specifically during February when the disease was spreading.

Trump immediately rolled his eyes and pressed the reporter on which news outlet she was with. Then, he began defending himself by talking about the travel restrictions he imposed on China in early February.

"So if you look at what I did in terms of cutting off China--" Trump said, before Jiang stopped him.

"Chinese nationals," she said. "Not Americans who were also coming from China."

Trump then told her to speak "nice and easy," and "just relax."

The two continued back and forth until Trump told the reporter she needed to "do her research," and when she continued to address the president, he told her to "keep your voice down please."

The same day, Trump slammed the CNN reporter Jeremy Diamond, who asked why Trump had spent so much of the briefing praising his administration's efforts at a time when the US death toll had passed 40,000. Trump eventually shot back by saying, "You don't have the brains you were born with."

During the April 19 briefing, Diamond asked Trump why he continued to issue "self-congratulating" praise over his handling of the pandemic when more than 40,000 Americans had died from the coronavirus.

Trump fired back by saying his praise was meant to stand up for "the men and women that have done such an incredible job" — namely the vice president and those who had built makeshift hospitals as well as doctors, nurses, and admirals.

But when Diamond pointed out that the video clips Trump showed earlier where about him, and not the people on the front lines, the president shot back by saying, "Those people have been just absolutely excoriated by some of the fake news like you. You're CNN. You're fake news."

He then continued to say "and let me just tell you, they were excoriated by people like you that don't know any better because you don't have the brains you were born with."

On May 11, Trump singled out Weijia Jiang for a third time, telling the Asian-American reporter to "go ask China" when she asked why he kept boasting about coronavirus testing numbers.

For the third time during a coronavirus press briefing, Trump singled out CBS News reporter Weijia Jiang.

On May 11, Trump stood in front of a massive sign that read "AMERICA LEADS THE WORLD IN TESTING," and praised his administration's efforts to test citizens for the coronavirus.

Jiang asked the president why he continued to boast about these numbers and compare them to other countries.

"Why does that matter," Jiang asked Trump. "Why is this a global competition to you if every day Americans are still losing their lives and we're still seeing more cases every day?"

Trump fired back at the reporter for asking a "nasty" question and told her to go ask China.

"Well, they're losing their lives everywhere in the world. And maybe that's a question you should ask China," Trump said. "Don't ask me. Ask China that question. OK? When you ask them that question, you may get a very unusual answer."
But Jiang, an Asian-American reporter, shot back.

"Sir, why are you saying that to me, specifically — that I should ask China?" Jiang asked.

Trump dismissed the question and quickly moved on to the next reporter.
