You all do realize that even though Upton Sinclair may have exaggerated some of thr facts in his stories, the atrocities he described were taking place. Independent investigations proved it and led to major reforms.

Now, do you want to talk about Rand portraying a railroad owner as a self-made man when the railroad industry was built on government assistance?

Not at all. He wants to keep changing the subject because he knows Rand and everything she professed is easy as pie to annihilate.

The fascinating thing is that these ultra conservative types are so petrified of simply revealing their beliefs. And then they wonder why the youth is consistently running from them..

Your question about Rand is irrelevant. You made an assumption based on your closed minded stereotypes.  That's your problem to fix. Not mine.  

I don't even think about Rand.  You have me at a disadvantage as It's been almost 30 years since I read Atlas Shrugged and I can't remember what my professor told me I thought about it.

Go ahead and annihilate Rand. Like I said, I read it 30 years ago and have given it little thought since. But quit babbling about it and do it.
