Cincinnati "Fans" are the Worst
#1
I sat in a car ride home from the game with 5 other Bengals fans and listened to them trash Burrow for the game(s) he had. Twitter is a cesspool. Social media is on fire. People are throwing coaches, players, anyone under the bus. Everyone is dogging everyone.

But to dog Joe Burrow after two games, where he missed all of training camp, and clearly isn't 100% healthy? Man, some of you all stink. How short our memories are.

Seriously, it's embarrassing.

Same shit some of you did with Palmer, Votto, etc. Throwing trash on lawns and running guys out of town.

Better be careful for what you wish for.

Yeah. It's why Palmer wanted out.

They are 0-2 again. Zac has been 0-2 four out of his five years. Everyone deserves some crap thrown at them.

I was quite shocked today to hear the fans booing in the first half. The first home game, and the first half of the first home game, and the fans were booing so loud at one point that the announcers noted it. It's a 17-game season, the team had been to a Super Bowl and the AFCCC, and the fans were booing in the 2nd quarter of the second game of the season.

But they are hardly the worse fan base. Visit Philadelphia or NY some time for a football game. As Joelist notes below, Bengals fans have been diehard in their support through half-a-century of frustration.

Everyone? No.

Certain people? Sure.

ZT? Yes. It's fair to question why his teams have such slow starts to the season. I'd be willing to bet Joe Burrow not having a normal training camp and him not playing anyone in preseason is a large reason why.

Yeah, terrible! Terrible!

How dare we expect an elite tier QB to give elite tier play, especially right after signing an NFL record deal? How dare we actually hope or think that maybe, just maybe, the BEST fanbase in the NFL might finally get return for the decades of fruitless support? And how dare we show righteous disgust at poor play that greatly reduces the hope for our fans to finally get some return for rooting for this franchise all these decades?

Maybe we can get Caleb Williams

No he wanted out cuz the owner sucks, wouldn't listen to anything he said or be aggressive and gave them hot chocolate out of mop buckets.

I think that fans think Burrow is going to be Brady and win like 6 SBs. Not realistic.

The big contract shifted expectations too.

Like I said in other threads/comments once this much money is involved it changes the dynamics of the game.  Eventually it becomes a little bit ridiculous.

If Burrows feelings are hurt then oh well. He’s the highest paid player in history so a lot is expected. He is not untouchable. His red zone int was a horrible pass and a game changer. Those fans paid their $ so they can boo whoever they want to.

It’s nuts. Dude has given this fanbase more success in his first few seasons than most have witnessed in their entire lifetimes. And people are turning on him after 2 ***** games.

The guy in the Bengals overalls that head butted another fan while in cuffs outside of the stadium really sums things up right about now. Just really embarrassing and toxic.

Did you even read the post?

It's not as cut and dry as that.

So it's Zac's fault JB has never has a full training camp?

He played like crap for three halfs. It’s ok to say that. If someone is saying he should be replaced or traded or some such nonsense then yes that’s nuts.

Yep. Joe is why we win. Management and coaching didn't become better overnight.

When Joe struggles it completely exposes ZT and Callahan. They struggle to find "easy" yards for this offense.

It just blows my mind when people talk shit about Burrow. People have no clue how much the dude literally carries our offense.

Yes! Good coaches scheme guys open. Not here.

Not Mixon has been running great. They just don't give him enough carries.
