Clark Harris to Pro Bowl
#1
What's even more interesting is according to this story was he was nominated by... Mike Tomlin.
I didn't know a player could be nominated to the Pro Bowl.

Either way my conspiracy theory suspicion is Mike Tomlin watched Eifert a couple of years ago in the Pro Bowl and doesn't mind throwing another one of our players to the wolves.

Definately one of the best longsnappers in the league. Congrats Clark.

All he has done is been solid since he got here.

I still remember when St. Louis went bad and lost us games...

re: Tomlin - the head coaches of each team picks the long snapper, the one "need" player on each team that isn't eligible to be voted on as a position player. Now, Harris could have been voted in as a general "specialist" i.e. Cedric Peerman in 2015, but that's hard for a long snapper to get. So ya, Tomlin gave a nod to the "old guy" as Harris said.

Also, thanks for sharing and reading!

Actually, Brad NEVER lost us a game; we won all of the games he botched. I think the 2006 game against Denver maybe was 1005 on him, but can't remember if it was simply a high snap that sailed or a bad kick due to the snap.

That's what I can't remember; if his botched snap ended the game or if his botched snap led to a bad kick, in that game...

I never watched it live, only highlights...

EDIT*: Actually, according to the person who write Wikipedia, it wasn't entirely Brad's fault:

I guess i remember differently, maybe he didn't cost us a game but it sure was one heck of a rollercoaster that season
with him and he was always solid before that. Longsnappers are like Kickers in that they can be solid for a long time but
once it gets in their head, they are done.

Still, need to snap that ball just right, like Clark Harris does now...

Oh, believe me Nate, I in no way am or even WANT to defend Brad St. Louis; we just got lucky that the botched snaps happened during wins.

A similar thought wen through my mind:

Just what are those ***** trying to pull?

Congrats to him, anyway.  Guess I have no choice now but to watch this abomination of a game just to see how all the ST plays go.

Wonder if he'll catch a pass in the game. Guessing he'll see some time at TE. Be really cool if he caught a TD pass.
