Coronavirus

Trump blames Obama for broken coronavirus tests.

Just to point out the obvious, there weren’t any coronavirus test, broken or otherwise, during the Obama administration because this strain of coronavirus didn’t exist during the Obama administration thus there were no tests to detect a virus which didn’t exist.

The lying is non-stop and relentless with this POS and what he has done to agencies like HHS, NIH, FDA, CDC, PHS, etc with his political appointees is sad.

People wanted the country run like a business. Well, Trump is shitting the bed and not taking any blame for his failures. That seems about par for the course for his business models.

Running the country like a business would be good if we elected a good businessman to do it, not a thrice bankrupt declaring, contractor screwing, casino money losing con man.
So a group of armed, angry white people stormed the Michigan State House yesterday.

Luckily they were NOT a 12 year old boy with a toy gun all by himself in a park who didn't respond to the orders screamed at him within two seconds or someone might have been shot.   Mellow

All seriousness aside this is a bad look if you are sane person.  But I'm sure we will be told they are "very good people" in that group who really like Trump so it's ok.

Well, it really wouldn't be for a number of reasons, but it especially isn't good when you have Trump doing it.

Five minutes after I posted that.

Or just tell them and Trump you're following federal guidelines issued by the White House which recommends a 14 day trend of reduced new cases of Covid-19 before doing what they're screaming about. If you want to scream at someone, scream at the guy in the White House who undermines governors for following his recommendations.

In a capitalist economy "running a business" means putting profit ahead of taking care of society.

In fact, since the industrial revolution one of the main purposes of the government is to protect citizens from the power of people running businesses.

Once you show up with guns, I'm no longer interested.

Could you imagine if this was black or brown people storming them with guns?

They'd be shot dead. All of them.

This is an example of white privilege people talk about and what we have to explain to our kids as to why we could never do this. It's pretty unfortunate how we have to juggle what is ok for some and not for us. The lives of our kids depend on this communication and these lessons.

Unfortunate doesn't do this injustice

Monday was the first day in Georgia the restaurants were open for dine in with limited capacity.  I was told we had two ladies drop by the treatment tent at work.  Not to be seen as patients, just curious what the tent was for.  They were on their way out to eat since the restaurants were open for the first time in about a month.  Both were Covid-19 positive and supposed to be quarantining themselves.

And this is why I won't be rushing back out to my normal life when things loosen up in Ohio. I've still been working. The only change had been my social life, but what you posted is so damned disturbing... I'm close to being done with my fellow citizens.
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

I just makes me laugh when I hear people like the governor of South Dakota talking about how personal responsibility will contain the spread when people here in GA can't maintain 6' of spacing while waiting in line to get into Lowe's.

What's even worse about what I posted is both those ladies had been counseled multiple times to quarantine.  At least twice; once when tested and once when given the results.

Oh hey you just showed why capitalism is awful for humanity and the failures of the government all in one post.

Oh let's talk about how you can have these white nationalist looking clown shoes storming a government building armed to the god damn teeth and not so much as get a damn taser pointed at them, but a black child gets tackled to the ground and forcefully restrained by a cop who looks to be a solid 300 pounds for having some kind of tobacco product.

This country and it's people are a joke anymore.

I saw that video.  That cop is lucky that kid's teeth weren't knocked out by the curb when he flipped him over.

I saw that shit yesterday.  That kid looked like he weighed all of a buck twenty dripping wet.  That cop tossed him around like a rag doll.  The closest thing I can think of to what it looked like was a large dog playing with a stuffed toy.  I can't see any justification for that whatsoever.  I'd be absolutely embarrassed if I there was a video of me punching and sitting on a literal child like that.  I hope that cop gets what's coming to him.  He likely won't.

A white cop using excessive force on a black child? I'm pretty sure we call that Thursday in the US anymore.
Trump has blocked Fauci from appearing before Congress as House Democrats seek to investigate Trump's botched response to the pandemic. The administration claimed it would be counter-productive for him to appear at this time and they can schedule a time later out...

Imma gonna have to agree with the White House on this one.  Fauci shouldn't be more than an arm's length away from Trump and his quackery.
