Cowherd at it again....
#1
America's favorite feminine hygiene product had another shot at the Bengals today:

Paraphrasing, but he was saying how the Browns over/under of 8.5 wins is easy with all that talent and how if Mayfield was replaced by Case Keenum, his backup, the totals wouldn't likely change. In other words, he doesn't think that much of Mayfield either. But the Bengals came in when he said "I mean, you have two easy wins against the Bengals..."

Don't want to look past LA, but if the Bengals are beating the Browns a week from tonight, I will be flooding his mentions:)

It is not just Cowherd this time.  I assume all the sportsbooks will pick the Browns to beat the Bengals.  Even a win over the Chargers won't make much difference.  they were just a 5 win team last year with Phillip Rivers.  We won't get any huge bump by beating them with Tyrod Taylor at QB.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Thursday night games tend to favor the home team as well I imagine. So yeah the Browns should be the favorites.

Just to be clear I think Cowherd is one of the worst sports analyst on the radio.  I can't stand to listen to him.  Not just because he does not like the Bengals.

The Browns had "all the talent in the world" last year and still lost to the Bengals  Cool
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins

Because Burrow doesn't give him the time of day.

As I've grown older, I've stopped listening to hot take artists like Cowherd. You have guys who provide fair and reasonable opinions, then you have guys that are the equivalent to tabloids of sports...like Cowherd. It's junk food for the brain.

He's not alone in doubting the Bengals after 4 straight losing seasons, but we are talking about the same Browns that went 6-10 last year, right? So saying the Bengals - after a huge offseason - are going to be "easy wins" for the Cleveland Browns is quite a stretch. But, consider the source.

Lol this.

The Browns were one of our measly two wins and that was with no AJ Green, no Jonah Williams and without the messiah at QB.

Throw in additions on D, and we are much better than the team that made Mayfield look like a chump.

Exactly on both of these. Burrow gets it.

If you're paying attention to Cowherd instead of Joy Taylor, you're doing it wrong  Wink

Listening to him now. He cracks me up

He's got the steelers in the playoffs and dinged denver just one game after losing miller. He laid out the argument on denver and it's a sound one (they won't have as good a pass rush and are facing a decent slate of qbs this year). Personally, I'll be shocked if the steelers get into the playoffs and if denver only loses nine.

This was what I was going to say.

BTW, it is pronounced "Cowturd".

Cowturd is awful. He is not serious and is a hot take artist like ScreamingASmith.

Who GAF what he says?

He is right on the Steelers, though, if Big Ben can stay healthy. I'd put them in if I had to pick 7 right now.

1. Chiefs (win west)
2. Ravens (win central)
3. Titans (win south)
4. Patriots (win east)
5. Steelers (WC)
6. Bills (WC)
7. ???? (Colts, Texans, Browns, us)

Pittsburgh was 8-8 last year with garbage QB play, and injuries all over the offense. That defense is legit. I can see them going far in the playoffs if Ben isn't spent.
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

My guess though is he is, and they'll leave him in a little too long because he's ben. I think that's going to cost them a couple. That, and the division is going to be tough. Were better. The browns are better. The ravens are solid.

He might be spent.  He's starting to look like a homeless hobo living under an overpass.
