Curtis Brooks

Curious what's everyone's opinion on him. I know he's older for a prospect and I see him projected as an udfa, but I'd think just from an athletic standpoint he'd be worth a 6th or 7th easily. He's my favorite sleeper/late round pick. I dont watch cfb but he seemed to have good numbers this past season.

Just for fun throwing in some wild comparisons athletically.

He's moving up boards probably a 5th rounder right now.

I personally wouldn't mind the Bengals taking him in the 5th. 3t is a need and the 5th is a spot taking a high potential player works.

If we don't get to take a 3T/5T early on, Brooks is a sleeper and I wouldn't be upset to see us reach a little to solidify our shot at getting him. I'd go as early as R4.

Brooks had PFF's highest interior pass rushing grade of all college DL this past season, per https://gobearcats.com/news/2022/4/20/football-hoard-curtis-brooks-makes-noise-ahead-of-next-weeks-draft.aspx

He's also unfortunately on the older side, already at 24 years old.

I'd be ok with the Bengals taking a flier on him on Day 3 if they don't address IDL earlier.
