The Bengals today acquired DT Dare Odeyingbo on waivers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Odeyingbo (6-2, 282), a rookie out of Vanderbilt, originally signed with Tampa Bay as a college free agent on May 10. He played in the Buccaneers’ preseason opener last Friday (no statistics) and was waived yesterday.

Odeyingbo played four seasons (2015-18) at Vanderbilt, and totaled 87 tackles, including 17 for losses and 5.5 sacks, with one interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

If you add up his college stats, and equate them to one year in the NFL?  He'll be a perennial All-Pro, and 1st ballot HOFer.   Andy

Seems like we're in pretty good shape at DT but maybe not.

Sarcasm And Bengal fans have the audacity to say the Bengals don't do enough to add outside talent.

After we drafted Wren, I watched like 3 or 4 games worth of Youtube footage of him.  He had some nice plays, but never what I would describe as "dominate" in any of his "highlighted" games.  Sure, he's got the "measurables" and all of that, but so do a lot of guys that never complete a rookie contract int he NFL.

Appreciate the sarcasm. Let's look what would have happened if Marvin was here and was facing the same problem.  I will explain in detail below:

He had 6 sacks and 13 TFLs in his junior year. I don't get why everyone gets mad when we sign a guy like this.

He is a Centerville kid.  His older brother (Ifeadi) was a DE at Northwestern and was drafted in the later rounds by Minnesota, I think, but hadn't done much in the NFL.
