Dealing with people who don't like facts
#21
Two big reasons for theses issues. The first is that a lot of people don't understand what actually makes a fact. The other is that people stick to information sources that confirm their worldview that we have a lot of people living in their own realities.

People should be more willing to blame social media than education. That's where 95% of people are getting their "facts" that form these uniformed opinions.

It's one of the problems with this "information age" that we live in. More information is out there, but so much more of it is quatsch that it can be hard to wade through.

Speke Anglish, ya kraut sumbich!

:jk:  I did not know what quatsch meant, and growing up near Zinzinnati, I am stunned. Vielen dank!
JOHN ROBERTS: From time to time in the years to come, I hope you will be treated unfairly so that you will come to know the value of justice... I wish you bad luck, again, from time to time so that you will be conscious of the role of chance in life and understand that your success is not completely deserved and that the failure of others is not completely deserved either.

People's beliefs are based on "values" not facts. They chose to believe the facts that fit into their values system.
