Earlier in the week, Trump compared himself to Alexei Navalny, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s top domestic rival, who died in a remote Arctic prison after being jailed by the Kremlin leader. “I got indicted for nothing, for something that is nothing,” Trump told a black-tie event for Black conservatives in South Carolina ahead of Saturday’s Republican primary. “And a lot of people said that’s why the Black people like me, because they have been hurt so badly and discriminated against, and they actually viewed me as I’m being discriminated against. It’s been pretty amazing but possibly, maybe, there’s something there.”

If I remember correctly Biden was taken to task for those and the crowds didn't cheer and laugh along with him.

Yeah, he didn't say that it was a FOX network person but I mean the whole mugshot thing has to be nearly as bad.

That's exactly the point. Trump says dumb shit all the time, and yet you guys still ascribe statements to him that he didn't even make.
If you think the mug shot and playing the victim and the shoes is why he's gaining votes with blacks then you are all off your rockers. All you have to do is take a look at the news in Denver, Chicago, NY and so on and you're light bulb in your brains might go off.

Biden received 92% of the black vote in 2020. So no, he was not punished at the ballot box. Can Biden get 92% of the Black vote in 2024?
Polling says not even close as Biden immigration policies have hurt his base of not only Blacks but Hispanics.
The issue of sanctuary city policies is hurting those cities and states.
Voters did well under a Trump economy, but under Biden illegal immigrants are literally doing better than voting citizens.
Biden can attempt to buy young votes who are also less supportive of Biden in the polls versus 2020.
We will see if Biden or a replacement can earn back the trust of these voting groups, but time is ticking as now 8 months away from the election and the middle class is heading to lower class and lower class are flat our hurting under Biden's economic policies. In the past liberal cities could also bail under poor economic performance, but like I said, the liberal cities have chosen to spend more money on illegal immigrants housing, food, cash card, health insurance and other benefits leaving less money for those already below the poverty line.
