Did Joe Mixon Pull a Jeremy Hill

Apples to oranges.

None of what you said is true.

If there was any contact,  I don't believe there was by KC at any point,  it was before he turned towards the middle of the field and then he lost his footing of his own volition.    He then stands up, let's go of the ball and the whistle blows approximately 2 seconds later.   Luckily they blew the whistle and the play dead,  but I do believe they should have because the KC defenders had stopped playing at that point as well.    Would have been terrible to award KC the ball.

If you watch the replay where the camera is from the endzone it looks pretty obvious he gets touched by 1, maybe even 2 players. Even if they challenge not only did he give himself up, stand, point, and then drop the ball but there's also no way to say he wasn’t touched.

Skip to 9:05. He clearly gets touched. Case closed/thread closed.

Rule 7, Section 2, Article 1, (d)1.

(d) when a runner declares himself down by:
  1. falling to the ground, or kneeling, and clearly making no immediate effort to advance.

End of story.

It's always hilarious how easily Browns trolls give themselves away. They can't help themselves.

How new is this rule? Remember plexico burress rookie year when he did what Joe did and it was a fumble...

I still don’t know how he didn’t score a walk off td on that play. I like Mixon but he trips up and slips up A LOT.

Different sitch; Burress stood up RIGHT AWAY and then spiked it; he didn't give himself up.

Just a weird play all over.

I hear a whistle the INSTANT he is down and then the whistles continue for 3 seconds.

What I said in the other post was not, "none of it is true:" do you remember Liddy's steal of the ball from Lock? That too had him contacted a good second BEFORE he fell down, so it's moot.

As mentioned above, it is stupid to continue going on about this.

Well, one thing is for sure, Mixon won't do it again. When Burrow told him what the challenge was, Mixon looked perplexed. It'll never happen again.

Probably because he knew he got touched...

EDIT: the rule i posted is from the 2021 rule book.

Burress was in 2001. 2004 was the last rulebook i could find online and it was in there. Not sure about 2001 or when the rule was added in.
