Did NYC lie about welcoming immigrants?

Bill Mayer slammed Democrats for handling if the migrant crisis. They are crying foul and putting migrants on the street. Who else thinks Mayor Adams and the Democrats were living a lie. They said we welcome all illegal immigrants, then when they receive 1/10 of the influx of border states, they no longer welcome them.

Sanctuary cities need to do what they said they would do, feed and house all illegal immigrants indefinitely.

I have been worried about the federal government under Biden changing to open borders. You failed to answer why Democrat sanctuary city suddenly changed their tune when they encountered a small sample of illegal immigrants enter their city.

Border cities have dealt with this for decades, NYC deals with it for months and now they think it is a crisis. The did not give a crap about border cities, until now.

New York is where the overwhelming majority of immigrants have entered the United States throughout our history..Yeah..I lived in Texas and they think the history of the entire world begins and ends there..

You left out legal immigrants. You also left out New York said they welcomed ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, until they were left dealing with all of the issues border states have dealt with for decades.

Well since the governors of Texas and Florida are illegally trafficking immigrants to other states I'm glad they are being welcomed with compassion somewhere.

Texas and Florida have signed waivers allowing the illegal immigrants to go to NYC and other sanctuary cities.

NYC has 1000's of illegal immigrants added to tens of thousands of homeless living on the street. Does seem welcoming to you?

The states of Texas and Florida shipped human beings, lied to them and shipped them, to another state to make a political point.

Does that seem legal to you?

New York, and other places, have taken them in and treated them as human beings...not cattle.  Not as some kind of disease that we need protected from.

Is illegal immigration an issue?  Yes.  It has been forever.  Dehumanizing them though is not the answer.

Mayor Adams also announced that a consortium of the city’s cornerstone higher education institutions — led by New York University (NYU) — will provide undergraduate and graduate student application assistants throughout the fall as the center scales.

The consortium consists of four City University of New York (CUNY) schools: Baruch College, City College, Hunter College, and Queens College; Columbia University; New York Law School; and New York University. Each institution will sponsor three full days at the clinic this fall by giving their students the chance to volunteer as application assistants. Additionally, many of the institutions will offer students the opportunity to earn credit for time spent at the center, either in the form of courses or internships. In total, the sponsored days, for-credit courses, and undergraduate and graduate internships are expected to provide opportunities for hundreds of students to support thousands of asylum seekers in submitting their asylum applications.

“Asylum seekers arriving to our country are seeking to build the American Dream, and here in New York City, we are working to give them a shot at it. I am proud to announce that, in the little over a month since we opened our Asylum Application Help Center, we have assisted migrants submit over 1,300 asylum applications,” said Mayor Adams. “Our innovative model is the first in the nation to combine government, private law firms, and nonprofits as they provide asylum application help at this scale. So it's exactly like Luvnit said--only its Republicans in northern blue states making a fuss,
just as they do in any state.
