Total coincidence, but both created a liability for their employer.  Lemon had an attitude problem, especially with his female co-workers.

Now that Dominion set a precedence of being able to sue media companies for defamation, and courts are ruling that there is no 1st Amendment protection for reporting things that are knowingly false and just flat-out lies(i.e., Trump's Big lie) Fox is paying attention to whom puts them at risk for having to pay almost another $1-Billion.

Tucker with all his lies and right-wing wacko conspiracy theories put Fox at risk of being sued every time he opened his mouth, and now with him gone Fox doesn't have to worry about another company forcing him to admit on air he lies to his viewers.

For real? That's interesting.

It’s the former executive producer of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, do with that information what you will.

The reason why it is different is b/c Fox's news anchors and Sr. MGt knowingly propagated false information such as Trump's Big lie to the public and then in private conversation amongst themselves admitted to doing just that.   Fox's news anchors in private emails and texts admitted Trump, Rudy, Sydney Powell, et al were all full of crap and they didn't believe a word of it, but these anchors went ahead and promoted the lies as instructed by Sr. management.   This is all on the record in sworn depositions with Fox's news anchors under oath subject to the penalty of perjury.

Also, there is the issue of Summary Judgement in which a judge found Fox liable for knowingly propagating falsehoods about Dominion as to switching votes in favor of  President Biden.

So to answer your question, it comes down to knowingly doing something that you know is patently false and then admitting to doing it.  Fox did all the above as evidenced in the sworn depositions.  These other companies as in the case of CNN offered a defamatory opinion as to someone's character but didn't offer it as fact when they knew without a doubt it wasn't as in the case with Fox.

The woke mob claims another victim. How dare a person suffer the consequences of their words and actions. This is communism.

Nuff said. There will be no effort at all.

And a year later the rest of the kid's suits got thrown out of court.  They settled a nuisance suit,  one that they would have likely won, because they didn't DELIBERATELY LIE like Fox did.
