EU
#1
Seems the founding fathers had a different view of the EU when it was merely a trade union.

Quote:"Europe's nations should be guided towards the super-state without their people understanding what is happening. This can be accomplished by successive steps, each disguised as having an economic purpose, but which will eventually and irreversibly lead to federation."

Jean Monnet (Founding Father Of The EU in a letter to a friend 30th April 1952).).

That's actually a quote from an author named Adrian Hilton from his 1997 book "The Principality and Power of Europe"

That is what happens when you don't cite your sources.

Wtf? I never saw that one before.

Still doesn’t excuse the EU for becoming what it has. It was supposed to be a trade union. Now it forces people into a federation controlled by the Germans.

The EU in its current setup has always been a German plan. This is why the EU is called it the fourth Reich. If they cared about democracy and ge people of Europe they would allow referendums across the membership to vote to whether be included: People want a trade union. Nothing more .

Sometimes you just gotta say "Ok, I was had by a fake quote on the internet" and move on. No one is now going to take this thread seriously.
