Eliminating Race from history
#1
Came across this video this morning on Twitter.

For those who are unaware of the Tulsa Race Massacre here is a brief reader:

https://www.tulsahistory.org/exhibit/1921-tulsa-race-massacre/

tl;dr

A black man got a charged after stories went around about him in an elevator with a white woman. Some whites went to drag him from the cell, blacks tried to stop them. A shootout. 35 blocks of black neighborhood got burned to the ground.

The superintendent in the video says it was NOT about skin color.

Should we eliminate race from all of history?

Slavery wasn't about black people...it was about cheap labor.
Lynching wasn't about black people...it was about justice!
Blacks not being able to eat at white only diners was about freedom!

Not sure this the way we want to go.

This will make sense to people who wonder why there is a Black History Month but no White History Month.
