Injuries post Browns
#1
Chidobe Awuzie is likely gone for the rest of the season with a presumed ACL tear. Zac, who almost never comments on injuries in the post game press conference said “I don’t think it’s great”.

This will be a really bad loss for the defense. Chido was having an all-pro season and you just don’t have a “next man up” that replaces that. Eli Apple and Tre Flowers both are dealing with hamstring issues. In addition to healthy Mike Hilton,CTB, and Jalen Davis on the active roster there is Allen George and Marvin Tell on the PS. I can’t imagine though that Duke isn’t now working to bolster that group going forward.

As mentioned Tre Flowers is dealing with a hamstring test took him out of the game. No word on how serious yet.

Sam Hubbard broke a finger. It hurts but he’ll play next week

Fueled by the pursuit of greatness.

Yeah Awuzie being out has the feel of this season going the wrong way. That is a very difficult injury to overcome for the secondary.

I’d trade for a corner over a wideout at this point. Need more depth there.

They’re not making any trades.

Makes his condescending "I told you guys to relax" press conference from last week look even worse.

What we witnessed last night was the end of an already shaky season.

Reminiscent of the massacre that in Cleveland in 2006.

I think the FO and coaching staff get way more flak than they deserve, but I said it all offseason long. We needed to fill out our roster with solid insurance pieces. I said over and over we should be signing a vet CB with starting experience, a vet WR #4, and I also wanted a pass rush specialist. They could have done all of that and we would be in much better shape right now. Instead we have to seriously wonder if the season isn’t about to completely unravel at this point.

If they want to make another run they MUST get a CB. Trade for Gilmore or anyone else legit who is available.

Maybe they're tanking for the draft.. Almost seems like a plan at this point..

Lot of critical injuries this year. I don't know how the Bills manage every year to be in the top 5, sometimes top 1 and 2, in terms of not having injuries to starting players. Last year the Bengals made the top 10, but this year its back to a lot of important injuries.

I suppose it is time for our top picks to learn on the job. We look like an average team this season and subsequently, aren't contending for a title. Let's hope Hill and CTB learn pro ball this year in prep for future seasons where more hope exists that we can maybe contend.
