the IRS just awarded Equifax a $7.25m no bid contract to handle verification of tax payers to prevent fraud.

So can Congress do anything about it?  I mean just out of principle this is ridiculous.

there seems to be bipartisan outcry. As far as I know, they could pass something to prevent them from receiving contracts moving forward, but I don't know if they can pass anything after the fact to affect this. Best course of action is to apply pressure on the IRS, Mnuchin, and Trump.
