Wow, that's "here, have a kidney" type responsibility they took on. You basically are signing on to spend extra years and so many hundreds of thousands of dollars you hadn't planned on spending. College, weddings. Good on them, I wish them luck.

There are lots of people who do great things that we never hear about.

For example I find it strange that when some rich people took in Michael Oher they get a movie made about them, but a lower-middle class family took in Patrick Willis PLUS his three siblings and no one ever heard about it.

Every morning CNN does a little segment called "The good stuff" and they always have a heartwarming story about ordinary people doing wonderful things. By its very nature the news is usually goingb to be about the bad things that happen, so it is nice to get a little nice stuff to balance it out.
