Flag Football in 2028 Olympics?
#1
So the NFL has stated that their goal is
to have flag football in the Olympics for 2028 in LA.

Fine with me as long is there are no starters from the Bengals involved. No need for an injury risk. My guess if it happens it will be mostly practice squad type players. I can't imagine a team from another county that could come close to competing against even USFL players. Maybe we could have some fun with it and put Chad Johnson on the team. So sure go for it and get the gold. :)

I don't think any NFL players will be involved  in the tournament.

However I could see the NFL eventually having a World Cup type event in the off-season involving  NFL players.

I know there's an NFL Europe but how many countries will actually be able to field competitive teams?

I obviously don't see anyone competing with the US, but will it even be worth watching?

I think it's a good idea if it's competitive because a lot of people that don't normally watch the Olympics would probably watch it in the states.

Honestly there is more than you think.
Japan, Germany, Austria, Mexico, GB, and Canada could field respectable teams.

50% of the Canadian Football League is American, so would they be allowed to play for Canada?

I could see it being worse the '92 Olympics where the USA just destroyed everyone.

No they would have to be  Canadian.

Are you talking about Flag Football in the Olympics or the hypothetical World Cup?

In all honesty I think people are underestimating the Talent outside of USA. Not saying  US wouldn't  be a heavy  favorite but other teams will be able to compete.
