That's valid.
As you said, he was a 4th round pick for a reason. He obviously shouldn't have been expected to come in right away and be good.
As a 4th round pick, I don't expect him to grow into a good starter this year either though.
To be safe, he probably should be a backup for another year and see where he's at in Year 3.

I saw Dehner I think write about this today in the Athletic. He mentioned throwing them John Ross for him and I would be okay with that as a starting point and see what they do.
