Good Intentions, Bad Results
#1
Watching Dalton the last 2 weeks, I have seen a neutered QB.

After the week 1 shit show, you can tell that Dalton's number 1 goal is to NOT TURN THE FOOTBALL OVER.

This may be a byproduct of playing on a Marvin Lewis coached football team. It may be due to the embarrassment of having a 5 turnover game. Maybe his teammates told him to play better...

For whatever reason, I see a guy who is too scared to take any chances because he may turn the ball over. This isn't the way to win in the NFL.

He has good intentions, he doesn't want to hurt the team. As a franchise QB, you can't have this mentality. You are here to carry the team.

Dalton is at his best when he has no fear. Right now, he is too scared to hurt the team. Making an effort to not turn the ball over is great, however, as we saw yesterday, being too cautious can mean missed opportunities, and while you may not have turned the ball over, you missed chances to add to the point total.

Did the week 1 debacle ruin him for the season? Can he bounce back and play without being so self critical? turnovers are inevitable, he needs to not be scared and make some plays instead.
