Green New Deal - Is Biden For It?
#1
According to Biden's own website, the "the Green New Deal is a crucial framework for meeting the climate challenges we face." (https://joebiden.com/climate-plan)

But then last night, he said something about not supporting the Green New Deal.

So which is it?

I'd have to see the two side by side, point by point.

A "framework" is not the same as adopting it entirely.

Like a house having "good bones" but stripping it down to design the interior the way you want it.

thought you watched the debate. He answered this last night.

If you continue to read from the link you posted.

From the green new deal he gets the framework of the Biden plan.

Be prepared. His two big takeaways from the green new deal are really scary socialist Bernie Sanders taking over the world type stuff...

“It powerfully captures two basic truths, which are at the core of his plan: (1) the United States urgently needs to embrace greater ambition on an epic scale to meet the scope of this challenge, and (2) our environment and our economy are completely and totally connected.“

And then it goes on and on and on detailing his plan.

That's the thing. He said it wasn't his plan but then went on to defend it!

I don't think the whole package is his plan. His plan definitely takes some of the concepts tho.

He actually argued against Medicare for all and the Deal in the debates against Sanders et. al. Biden has been one of the Dems confident enough to speak out against it. Especially during the primaries. That's one reason you see the commercials with him attacking Bernie over it being played by Pro Trump groups.

Hmm, sounds more like discussing color choices with the wife.  Me:  Blue is fine.  Her:  What shade? (as she pulls out pallet after pallet to show me that there are 248 shades of blue to choose from..)

It appears that your intentionally ignoring the details that don't support your position.

It is possible to support a cause or an idea for a plan without supporting all the specific details of a plan.

I was always in favor of having a playoff in D-1 college football, but that does not mean I was 100% in favor of the way it was implemented.

Meh, nitpicking weather Biden supports the entire GND or only parts is like "potato or potatoe".  If you paid attention to his statement that tied Climate change to the economy, it's pretty easy to read that he's totally on board with the Socialist Manifesto.  They've convinced him that he needs to sell himself as the "one size fits all" candidate, and that once he's in power all of the ugly details of the GND can be implemented down the line.  Just gotta get that framework in place, first..

Tying climate change to the economy has absolutely nothing to do with socialism.

On what exactly do you base that claim?

It's now being referred to as Biden's Green new deal. Folks, they are virtually one and the same.

Take a long hard look at this & how it will effect each of you, your families & your communities.

Do you have a side by side to make that comparison?

Is this another one of those where the “conservatives called the ACA ‘Obamacare’ then blame the left for calling it Obamacare”? Or does he actually align with it?

I'm for smart policy I guess. There have some failures with some green projects...some solar companies come to mind. It has been suggested that California places such high regulation of utility companies on wind and power projects that less money is now used on line maintenance and foresting, hence the huge fire issues,

Not really, no. He said he doesn't support the Green New Deal but it's a framework for his own plan.

This is true. But if I support MOST of a plan, I would not say I don't support it. I may say I don't FULLY support it, but I wouldn't say I don't support it.

But if you were asked, would your answer be that you don't support having a playoff in D-1 college football? No.

Brad supports Trump correct? So, if Brad says he doesn't support 100% the things that Trump proposes, can Brad then say he doesn't support Trump? By your logic, he could.

After today is there any doubt he wholly embraces the Green New Deal.
