Gruden likely Raiders coach (report)

Don't believe this yet, I'd definitely love to see what he could do with our team.

Look for Him to go after Guenther. I’m sure Jay told him he was a great DC.

Jon Gruden will be the new Oakland HC, Raiders owner set to offer him a very lucrative contract!

Gruden is overrated in my opinion. I think the guy has a screw loose. He always looks like he’s smelling a fart. People seem to get turned on by his animated behavior on the sideline, to each his own I guess. Belichick doesn’t have to act like a lunatic to win, just saying.

His career winning percentage is like .540, compare that to Marvin’s .520. Yes, he won a Super Bowl, but he stepped into a situation where a historic defense was already in place.
This post brought to you by the Cincinnati Bengals. Proud leaders in squandering opportunity, since 1969.

I hope the raiders get gruden. I don't want a re-tread HC who has been out of the NFL for 9 years.

NFLN keeps saying Guenther will be his DC.

PFT says he wants Guenther, but Jon doesn't have a contract with Oakland yet.

Probably just a formality.  They will make him an offer he can't refuse.

That’s an excellent point. Let’s get permission to interview up-and-comers like Josh McDaniels and Matt Patricia. Josh McDaniels has (1) head coaching experience in Denver where he (2) beat Pittsburgh in the playoffs.

If they hire gruden and he takes Guenther, I would not mind Vance Joseph back as DC.

If Vance gets the ax, this looks like the logical progression.  Either him or Del Rio.

Makes sense since Pauly and Jay are best friends. We can’t afford to lose Pauly unless we get a McDaniels type in here.
