HOO WUN??
I'll admit knowing that a LN candidate can't win does give me that sort of "not my fault!" Cop out no matter who wins.  I like to think I have conviction and logic beyond that but I'm just a regular ol dumbass picking from my color coded options and trying to deductively convince myself in not helping "the bad candidate" get elected each time.

I will say in 2016 I was 98% behind the Johnson/Weld ticket and now I'm considering Biden because I can admit a Jorgensen/Cohen vote is a legit vote of no confidence abd apathy and Trump is just too disgraceful to act like he's just as bad as Biden.

Well I ain't.  Then again I'm from Pittsburgh and I'm a Bengals fan so I have some sort of mental illness that pushes me towards the fringe.

How I've read the debate hot takes.

One guy keeps hitting everyone with a bat and when they tell him to stop once or twice the guy's supporters say "See!!!  Both sides!!!"

IDK what is terrible about the advice. Contrary to what many said after 2016 and continue to say, the popular vote is meaningless.

I also mentioned if you are in a swing state you should vote for what you feel is the lesser of 2 evils

I'm in a state where Trump is going to win, so I'll vote 3rd party. My hope is folk Nationwide start doing the same and we start getting a small amount of validity to a 3rd party.

My man McMullin git 1.2% of the vote in my State in 2016 and damn near finished 2nd in Utah

And I can dig their devotion to the notion but they don't always realize how they are just as partisan about their own candidate and willing to overlook any and all flaws.  They want to have a major political party but also pretend that they won't be just like the other parties because...libertarian.

The rest of the the Big L friends are closet conservatives who just don't like taxes, minorities and women in power.  Fun guys.

Oh, and they are all guys.

Interesting. That comports with some of my observations.

I noticed after the War Iraq fiasco that a number of conservative Republicans that I knew online and in person began calling a pox on both parties and identifying themselves as "independent" or "libertarian." That way they did not have to answer for Bush. But their values and policy goals were pretty much still traditional Republican. That's why I am skeptical of  the "independent" category in polls.

Another factor though was marijuana legalization. Some Liberals became libertarian tending on those grounds.

Still, though, how can one not see the difference each candidate would make regarding domestic politics and US standing in the world.

Yeah Wallace was biased against the person that did not care one bit about the rules both sides had agreed to before. If you act that way, usually people turn against you.
If I undermine and disrespect someone in such a way, I don't get to claim that said person clearly did not like me after the deed and hence said person is biased against me and not fair. It doesn't work that way.

Yes, Wallace kept interrupting Trump’s interruptions. That’s not bias. That’s a moderator’s job. Next moderator should be given a taser. Give them one warning for interrupting and if they don’t STFU just tase their ass. We’ll call ‘em the “law and order” moderator.

If saying "excuse me Mr. President, can Biden finish a sentence" is biased, then I agree.

The old adage goes, if you and your supporters are complaining about the moderator, you've lost. Complaining about the moderator tends to always tell which side lost the debate.

Maybe Brad has a point. Wallace did let Biden obviously use the illegal tablet, notes, and wire that Brad saw from home in norther Kentucky, but Trump wasn’t able to see several feet away because of his failing vision and dementia. Hell, Wallace didn’t even make Biden pee in a cup to test him for PEDs.

Yep, asking Trump to not interrupt him as he asked questions, asking Trump to let him ask the questions rather than Trump asking questions, and asking Trump to answer the questions he asked was clearly biased behavior on Wallace's part.

WALLACE:

Mr President, the Supreme Court will hear a case, a week after the election, in which the Trump administration, along with 18 state attorneys general are seeking to overturn Obamacare, to end Obamacare. You have sent the last --

TRUMP:

Because I want to give good healthcare. Good healthcare.

WALLACE:

If I may ask that question, sir. Over the last four years you have promised to repeal and replace Obamacare but you have never in these four years, come up with a plan, a comprehensive plan, to replace Obamacare.

TRUMP:

Yes I have. Of course I have. I'll get rid of the individual mandate which was added. That is absolutely a big thing, that was the worst part of Obamacare. The worst part of Obamacare. Well, I’ll ask Joe. The individual mandate was the most unpopular aspect of Obamacare. I got rid of it.

WALLACE:

I am the moderator in this debate. And I would like you to let me ask my question and then you can answer.

TRUMP:

Go ahead.

WALLACE:

You, in the course of these four years, have never come up with a comprehensive plan to replace Obamacare, and just this last Thursday, you signed a largely symbolic executive order to protect people with pre-existing conditions, five days before this debate. So my question sir is, what is the Trump healthcare plan.

TRUMP:

Well, first of all, I guess I'm debating you not him, but that's okay, I’m not surprised. Let me just tell you something. That has nothing symbolic. I'm cutting drug prices, I'm going with favored nations which no president has encouraged to do because you're going against big pharma. Drug prices will be coming down, 80 or 90%. You could have done it during your 47 year period in government but you didn't do it, nobody's done it. So we're cutting health care, all of the things that we've done -- insulin. I‘ll give an example: insulin. It's going to, it was destroying families -- destroyed people, the cost -- ‘I'm getting it for so cheap; it's like water.’ You want to know the truth, so cheap. Take a look at all of the drugs that --- what we're doing, prescription drug prices, we're going to allow our governors now to go to other countries to buy drugs because when they make just a tiny fraction -- this is big stuff.

Sure sounds like a guy with dementia.

Trump hasn’t lowered the cost of medications by a single penny despite the unsubstantiated hyperbole and toothless executive orders that support coverage for pre-existing conditions made into law by Obamacare. Hell, goodrx.com has done more to reduce prescription prices than Trump.

Medicare/Medicaid is still prohibited from negotiating cheap prices directly with manufacturers because every time Democrat’s suggest this Republicans accuse them of socialism and a government take over of medicine to elicit a knee jerk reaction from voters.

So f’n frustrating.
