We've seen these fourth quarter comebacks being done by several different teams. Question is why can't this be done by offenses most of the time during the games?
(It's not really a rhetorical question but I do have some plausible answers and could make it poll but decided just to see the different opinions.)

When in last minute comeback mode the offense drops all risks - risk of turnovers, loss on the play, etc. All levels of conservatism have to go.
On defense, they try not to be 'too aggressive' and give up the big play.
It sort of turns from a chess match to a ping pong game
