This morning former Speaker Kevin McCarthy threw an elbow at the back of Rep Tim Buchette when they were passing in the hallway. McCarthy denies the accusation by saying it was an accident but it was witnessed by an NPR reporter who was interviewing Burchette at the time. Burchette was one of the 8 Republicans who voted to oust McCarthy. Matt Gaetz, always helpful, has filed a complaint with the ethics committee against McCarthy.
In the meantime, over in the Senate, during a committee meeting, Senator Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma, after a series of middle school taunts were exchanged, challenged the witness Teamsters President Sean O'Brien to a fight, then and there in the committee room. Committee Chair Bernie Sanders was not happy.
He says bring back duels and canings so people learn how to behave.
Mullin suggests that members of Congress should normalize having fights and duels again so "we have some type of respect, because we know there's going to be consequences for your actions." pic.twitter.com/cS7JJKhYAl
Mullin is a joke. I hate that he is a representative of Oklahoma, and how embarrassing is it for this 46 year old man to be challenging someone to a fight? Even worse that he is a government official. He does have an MMA background, which is where his comfort with this situation comes from.

Hmm, I've been assured that challenging a republican to a fist fight is a great way to get 2A'ed to death. Someone had better step up the game, or they'll get primaried.
Markwayne Mullin: And by the way, I’m not afraid of biting. I will bite.
Q: Biting?
Mullin: I’ll bite 100%. In a fight, I’m gonna bite. I’ll do anything. I’m not above it. And I don’t care where I bite by the way. pic.twitter.com/P0ul9fhafv
For some reason the God Bless the USA lyrics were playing in my head as MARKWAYNE stood up to fight a union representative in the middle of a hearing. “And I’m proud to be an American”

Never forget that Sen. Mullin pushed legislation to expunge Trump's Jan 6 impeachment after cowering in fear for his own life that day. pic.twitter.com/ytQjpWcVbN

There is only one answer. One way to move forward with your district.
Double down.
Markwayne Mullin issues a statement to his constituents about his incident with the Teamsters President where he challenged him to a fight in the Senate. Mullin claims that O’Brien had a friend call him before the hearing to challenge him to a fight in his backyard. pic.twitter.com/0w7YKCfIeJ
