How Many Coronavirus Deaths Have There Been?
#1
The media is telling us that there have been 200,000 coronavirus deaths due to the Coronavirus in the United States.

However, a lot of people are saying that people who might have died from something else are being listed as Coronavirus deaths even if they had no symptoms or if the virus really didn't play much of a factor in the actual death, so what's the real number?

Yep, and it's most likely higher due to underreporting and the fact that data takes time to fully collect.

And there's also deaths caused indirectly by the pandemic, including people who were not able to access urgent or critical care because of the pandemic and died.

Its called excess deaths, and it shows the 200k is a conservative estimate.

Must have been a big push to advance this line of argument when the 200K Mark was hit. Seems to be making its way across all these threads. Interesting to watch

Yea I was going to check with the federal gov too. According to the CDC headed by a Trump appointee it is only 199,462.

So it's fake and a con run by the federal gov.

Or

It's real and we have had it under control since January and it only effects the weak and poor so don't even worry about it.

Either way Trump is f'n awesome.

If a doctor mis-reports on a death certificate, they can lose their license to practice medicine.

If a douchebag writer or radio host falsely declares all of the doctors are lying to the people to push a political agenda . . . all they get are more donations and sponsors. It especially helps when you have useful idiots helping you spread misinformation that goes against their own self interests.
Only users lose drugs.

I'm surprised the en vogue, "It's only 9,200," number hasn't been thrown around yet.

The number is as high or as low as you want to believe it is. Safespace thinking.

I'd say too many.

The number could have been much lower if there was real federal leadership that formed consistent, coherent plans for the states to work off of.

And the number could be much higher moving forward as the POTUS and his followers now push that only old/sick people die from it despite him being on tape talking about how bad it is.

I guess he's not so much a "war time president" about this now?

This is a point a lot of people do not understand.

If all the deaths blamed on covid-19 were really the result of something else then we should be seeing a 200,000 drop in deaths by other illnesses.  But we are not.
