I Find This Interesting

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25349154/nfl-mvp-projection-cam-newton-cracks-the-top-4-heading-into-week-7

Etc, etc...

-Cam Newton 2015 (7 starts, 7-0 Record): 54.2% Completion, 1,523 Yards, 7.1 YPA, 11 TD/8 INT, 78.1 QB Rating... 286 Rush Yards (4.5 YPC), 4 TD, 2 Fumbles Lost
-Defense: 10th Overall, 10th Scoring

-Tim Tebow 2011 (11 starts, 7-4 Record): 46.5% Completion, 1,729 Yards, 6.4 YPA, 12 TD/6 INT, 72.9 QB Rating... 660 Rush Yards (5.4 YPC), 6 TD, 6 Fumbles Lost
-Defense: 20th Overall, 24th Scoring

Now I am not saying their seasons are perfectly comparable (obviously), but I just want to point out that one of these QBs is getting MVP buzz (for some reason) while the other one pretty much never really played in the league again after that season, despite playing with a significantly lesser defense. Both winners, both with sub-par stats, yet completely difference reactions towards them.

nothing eye popping with his stats other than being on the MVP watch list with an 11/8 TD/INT ratio

Cam is a physical freak (almost like John Elway-I know he is not John Elway so stop) and he runs the ball like a quality RB or FB. The Panthers can win alot of games with Cam carrying the team. But he is taking a beating with how he plays. If he doesn't change the way he plays he is going to have a short career. Tebow did not have Cams skill set.

Cam is playing with Ted Ginn as his number 1 WR. Of course his passing stats aren't great.

Denver's D bailed Tebow out of a lot of situations that year.  The guy is not an NFL caliber QB.  Period.

Cam was 16/35 on Monday w/a 76.8 QBR... His season QBR is 78.1, 29th in the league. That isn't even mediocre, much less elite.
Well does he have a name or should I call him... lawyer?

Kaepernick's numbers are very close to Newton's, except maybe the TD/INT numbers (although the ratio is bad for both). One is benched, while the other is an MVP candidate? Eh, the Panthers Defense is highly responsible for the team's record, but given that Olsen is his only weapon, maybe I shouldn't compare Newton to Kaepernick.
