Burrow's superpower
#1
Bengals fans might enjoy this article titled: "Joe Burrow's special gift gives him and Bengals chance in Super Bowl"

https://www.foxnews.com/sports/joe-burrows-special-gift-gives-him-and-bengals-chance-in-super-bowl

A few excerpts:

"So, welcome to the Joe Burrow experience. It’s been a thrill ride to Super Bowl LVI, thanks in no small part to Burrow’s great ability to play quarterback, his outstanding leadership, and his intelligence to learn from his mistakes and retain solutions to problems, even play to play.

But none of that is Joe Burrow’s super power. Not his good arm or his instincts or the threat to run.

The thing that several NFL scouts recently told OutKick they put prominently on their report when Burrow was coming out for the 2020 draft was one word: confidence."

Burrow is definitely a confident fellow, and he seems to boast whatever intangible qualities make the best quarterbacks so successful.

However, I do think that the continuous focus upon those traits, particularly from the national media, tends to take away from the more observable, concrete quarterbacking traits that Joe excels in. Joe is, to my eyes at least, among the league's very best in:

Intermediate and deep accuracy
Precision throwing into tight windows/throwing receivers open
Processing route progressions
Touch
Anticipation
Pocket awareness
Pocket movement
Pre-snap reads
Throwing from outside the pocket
Throwing to the middle of the field

Burrow's best trait besides all the off-field leadership stuff is his insane processing ability.  If you watch the all 22 film and the endzone cams you see this dude spots windows in a millisecond and hits them.  Here is a great video that demonstrates that.

The water tastes funny when you're far from your home,
yet it's only the thirsty that hunger to roam.

Yes, this insane processing ability that you mention seems to be one reason he has confidence. Even the article mentions: "his intelligence to learn from his mistakes and retain solutions to problems, even play to play."
