Injuries-Super Bowl

That one play where Hubbard spied on and then caught speedy shifty MaHomes and caused a fumble was SICK.

Bengals.com posted this report:

"Tight end C.J. Uzomah, still recovering from a knee injury he suffered in the first half of the Bengals' AFC Championship win in Kansas City, participated in the team stretch, then headed to the far end of the field to work with a trainer. He was formally listed as a non-participant, as head coach Zac Taylor indicated he would be in his video conference with reporters prior to practice.

Taylor said after the workout that Uzomah looks "positive" and is expected to do more Thursday.

"Considering where he was when he fell on the turf last Sunday to where he is now, [I'm] really optimistic about how it's going," Taylor said. "We'll continue to see him in action these next two days, but optimistic."

Offensive guard Jackson Carman was limited because of a back injury. Taylor said the team is "still kind of protecting him" but he's hopeful Carman will be able to participate more Thursday.

Receiver Stanley Morgan (hamstring), defensive end Cam Sample (groin) and defensive tackle Josh Tupou (knee) were full participants."

There are a lot of injuries that won't be made worse by playing on them.  And this is the Super Bowl so it does not really matter if CJ injures it again.  He does not have another game for 8 months.

If it is stable enough and not too weak then he will play with the pain.

Unless there is a chance it could go from "injured" to "career ending injured" (and I would say that is pretty rare) then you go out there are give as many plays as you have in you.  Even if you only last 5 or 6 that is better than zero.

Kind of lost in the CJ injury watch is the fact Josh Topou is back to practicing full and will be ready to go. That's takes a lot of the workload off Reader and Hill and will allow them to remain fresh.

Yep. If it's only 5 or 6, you just KNOW those 5 or 6 will be Red Zone plays.

While it sucked losing Reiff and Ogunjobi, part of the success of this team has been due to health.

They just said on NFL radio McVay is doubtful their TE is going to be healthy enough to play.

while the Rams TE is doubtful, our TE is progrssing.  CJ was limited but did practice.  Everyone else, including Carman, were full participants

Could be huge. He is a big part of their offense. He seems to be Stanford’s fall back receiver on top of his 1st option plays.

Carman, Tupou, Cam Sample, and Morgan Jr all full go is great news. We should be able to rotate a bit on the DL now.

CJ being able to play would be beyond my wildest expectations.

Unless this is some gamesmanship going on. Make us focus on the wide receiver weapons and forget about a plan to cover the TE

This is insanely huge news. Higbee as Ceasar said is the fall back option if the WR's are covered for Stafford.

Cannot believe this after as bad of an injury as CJ looked to have that HE will be the one playing and maybe not Higbee.

Tupou, Sample, Morgan being full go is just great news for us as well.

CJ is such a positive presence on the field. Dude is rock solid in the motivational aspect of the game. His talent is a plus because he's good at the position. Seen that dude pull in some great catches and I hope he get's a chance to do his part in the biggest game of his life.

He is really tough to tackle too, just needs to get those drops out of his game.

I have seen him drop quite a few he should of caught this season and in the Playoffs. Always made up for it though.

CJ Uzomah is officially listed as questionable....that's it everyone else is good to go.

Welcome back to the line up Josh Tupou and Cam Sample
