Just throwing this out there: QBR is perhaps the worst stats ever invented.

I think he would be up there for sure...  He seemed pretty upset coming off the field when he was sacked at last..

Dalton, for the most part, has played his guts out this season. He's stayed in the pocket when he has had to knowing full well he may get his head knocked clean off. Even Monday he made the most out of nothing by taking off and getting a first down or two.

The downright embarrassing O-line he has to play behind is borderline criminal. Those five guys upfront (not including Winston) should be ashamed of themselves.

I honestly felt bad for Andy coming off the field...  We are lucky he was not significantly hurt when his legs went behind him and he came out limping.

QBR is a stupid creation of ESPN, in an attempt to make them look like some sort of "authority" on judging athletes. Pshaw, everyone knows that ESPN is just a poster for popularity and mildly masked political opinion, these days...

I don't want to hear a single complaint about Andy Dalton. No player can win a game by themselves but that doesn't stop Andy from trying.

Agreed.  The older QB rating was better, although it still rewarded QBs with minimal attempts if they had decent YPA and minimal INTs.

I think Dalton has played extremely well this season.  It won't amount to a hill of beans if they don't go on an incredible run (which I also don't see happening).

I know there have been a few bad throws here and there (like every other QB), but I really think Dalton is turning in his best year as a pro. It's not about QBR, but about leading the offense, which is scoring points despite a disastrous OL.

This kind of thinking is exactly why Marvin Lewis is still the head coach. Amazes me how much mediocrity is not only accepted around here, but actually demanded.

We're scoring points? Could have fooled me.

Lol demanded mediocrity, that's some good stuff.  I actually have this talk in my group on Facebook. They get so mad at anything about dalton.they act like he's god amongst qbs. To tell you how our fans feel about dalton I had a question last year in my big group. If mccaron won playoff games and Andy came back the next year, who wwould you start. I'm sure you guess who they wanted. They said he shouldn't lose his job because of injury. I'm starting to believe we are cursed with marvin and Andy. I think they are both medicrebut this is my favorite team so I wish for the best.
