All-Time Bengal Fantasy Draft
#1
Apologies for putting this in JN, but hopefully my explination will suffice:

Like most everyone else your boy bfine is looking for something to fill the void during these down times and isolation. As we know, I'm always here (when not banned) to spread joy and entertainment throughout the forums so this will be no exception.

In the Fantasy Leagues sub-forum I have/will create a separate thread to organize a Bengals All-Time Fantasy draft thread. Participation rules are as follows:

If you want to participate just state so in the fantasy sub-forum. There will be 4-team leagues only but we'll create as many as required to accommodate all who wish to play.

The deadline to submit your name id Friday (May 22) aka..bfine's birthday

Once I get names I will create as many 4 team leagues as required, place each of you in a league, and randomly assign draft order (standard snake)

Draft:Will be worked out per league, but all must be complete by Jun 4.

You will select each of the following (number required)

QB-(1)
RB-(2)
WR-(3)
TE-(1)
Kicker-(1)
Return specialist (1)
D-line (1)
LB (1)
DB (1)

Once teams are established we will "play the games" in the fantasy forum.

To score points:
Publish and pimp your team, then onlookers will vote.

May have to do some tweaks as we go. I'm open to suggestions, just not too many.

No offense but because of your picture I always thought you were a chick. Wink

And because of your picture I always thought you were a football helmet.

Just so you know. That was Dana Jacobson with the most epic rant in sports history; while taking shots to the dome.

If anyone is curious how this may work... I actually have been doing these drafts for my fellow Wildcats for years. We are currently in the middle of an NBA Draft  https://kentucky.forums.rivals.com/threads/rupp-rafters-nba-draft-round-5.322912/

Go ahead and put me in this one!

If I might offer a suggestion? How about a round of nominations, from which you could tally the top vote recipients, in order to assemble a finalists pool that we could vote via poll option on.

The reason I mention this, is that some of our younger fans will likely not remember some of the true greats from the first 20-30 years that the Bengals were a franchise. Seeing names that they never saw play, or perhaps even heard of, may cause them to do a little background before casting their final vote.

It's why I said you must sell the player. For instance if a went Isaac Curtis as WR, some of the younger kids may not realize who he is. But I'd be required to seil him with facts such as:

The NFL created a new rule because of him

Talk about his YPC

How he was #2 in the league in yards in 1976

4 time Pro Bowl

ect..

Lol! Nice come back. If I remember correctly didn't you have the same girl in a different picture a while back?

Much like the Bengals 2020 off-season, you seem to have ignored the O-line?

It's a fantasy draft.  Have you ever been in a fantasy league that drafted OL?

False start! -2 Points, Pancake block 5 points, Holding -4 points, 0 sacks allowed 10 points decreasing by 2 per sack in to negatives. I could make this work. Yeah......... I am bored. Lol

I've never been in a fantasy league that drafted D-line, LB and DB either.

You guessed that based on the picture? I thought the same based on his moody demeanor Ninja
