Kickstarter for a Marvin Billboard
#1
I wasn't living in the Cincy area at the time but I remember hearing a few years back about some billboards that popped up that said something like "Mike Brown please hire a GM". Since a precedence has been set I would hereby formally like to request that a billboard is created that says "Marvin Lewis please yell at a Ref" or something close to that, open to other ideas as well. The guy has zero passion. With the expressions on his face during the game you would think he is watching the Jimmy Kimmel Late Show in his head while the game is going on; sometimes a smirk, looking sad, but mostly confused. If anyone in the Cincy area wants to start a Kickstarter I would gladly donate.

P.S. I get that we won and am happy about it, if we are to continue and beat any serious competitors (Miami could barely pass for a good NCAA team last night) we need some fire in the belly and it starts with the head coach.

This!!

But also, Marvin is always embarrassing to look at on tv. He usually has a lost, confused, dare I say mentally ill expression on his face. A few times last night the camera cut to Marv looking like he was watching a lecture on advanced physics. All I could think of was, "yep... That's our coach, America"

Id rather it say "Marvin grow a pair!"

He is the most gutless coach i've seen. Afraid to challenge, wont take shots at the half.

Not defending, just stating something that will never change and that is his personality.  Tony Dungy was the same way.  It's their make up.  Does that mean it's right, just means it's like expecting Dalton and Wentz to come out snorting fire like Brady and Marino.  Just not going to happen.

Over the last two years Marvin has gone for it more on 4th down than almost any other coach in the league.

He has also been very succesful on his challenges.

And screaming has zero to do with being a good coach.  Guys lioke Dungy and Landry won multiple Super bowls without squealing on the sidelines.

While others like Lewis go 0-7 in the playoffs including 5 straight exits in the wildcard round and multiple choke-jobs in front of National prime-time audiences.

It is beyond clear that Marvin will not change his personality and that is fine, but whatever his personal approach to the game is (as a Head Coach) it has not resulted in clutch wins for the most part, most especially when it counts the most: The postseason.

As to the bolded part of your post, well that is true, but the problem is Marvin is not Tony Dungy or Tom Freaking Landry.  He is Marvin, and while those two won World Championships ole Marv is 0-7 in the playoffs with a more than disheartening five straight first round exits in 13 seasons.

Bottom line: Dungy's and Landry's approach resulted in Super Bowls.  Marvin's approach has resulted in......well he's won a lot of regular season afternoon games and after 13 seasons that should be more than enough for even the most staunch defender of Lewis to realize that he just does not have what it takes to get this franchise where it wants or deserves to be.

I would donate to this big time.

The billboard should say:

Ginger Lives Matter... Protect our QB for ****'s sake.

I'm sure whatever you decide to put on the billboard it will be every bit as persuasive and successful as this one:

Save your money for something constructive, like beer or porn.

Thanks for the contribution. Haven't been posting around here that long but know enough that you're the biggest troll on this board. Move along.

Correct. Those guys bring it constantly, Marvin needs to change up his game and go bananas sometimes. Somebody else said this in another thread this week, we're a B team we need someone to push us to an A team and part of that is being the example of lighting a fire sometimes.

Interestingly, I saw, for the first time, Marvy get into Hunt's grill on the sidelines a couple games back. That was a great moment in the world of Marvin Blah.

With the way we continuously get screwed my the refs with no vaseline, Marvin needs to step up and tirade the refs, even get a 15 year penalty, he needs to get in their face and send a message that he will not stand by and be a pasty for the NFL's agenda.
