You're mostly right, JustWin.  You're right about PIT controlling their own destiny, but you're wrong about tiebreaker order.   Conference record comes before common games, which is the only reason why NYJ is currently in the lead.  They have played one more AFC team than PIT has, because they haven't finished their NFC games yet.  If they both win out, however (or even if both lose their most lose-able games), they tie, and the tiebreaker moves to common games, which PIT wins.  

So basically, the "lead" that the Jets have is very precarious.  They could win out and still lose that lead.  The Steelers are in a better situation than it would first appear.  

In other words, rfaulk, you can suck it!  ThumbsUp
