Loving v. Virginia

Happy Anniversary! 48 years ago today the decision was handed down in Loving v. Virginia. Securing our right to be married to whomever we choose as in the words of Chief Justice Earl Warren, "marriage is one of the 'basic civil rights of man'".

Funny, as Michigan and North Carolina just passed laws that could allow officials to deny marriage licenses to anyone they want, and all they ned to say is that it is against their religion.
