1d20+0

7+0 = 7

Hmm, unless you think I have an amazingly high Charisma score I would say I failed.

Because there is no saving throw against a Magic Missile spell?  Clever!

You are correct.
I forgot we used to play a modified system, where we used 2d10.
We had fewer critical hits, but also less fumbles.
It seemed a bit more realistic and kept new players from being dejected.

I have a shield spell with permanency cast on it.  I am immune to your magic missile.   Ninja

Friend of mine was in the VAARNG and did a couple of tours in Iraq. He spent a good bit of his downtime gaming with fellow soldiers.

That being said, they were ARNG, so take it as you will.

I've never been beat-up.
I keep asking people to do it.
I need a good ass-kicking.

One of my DnD pals is now a Major in the Army.  He always played an Orc Barbarian but he would hang back because he didn't want to get killed.  Ha, memories.
