Mental Hangover from Not Winning a Playoff Game

AJ Green is on pace for a career year. LaFell and Boyd are on pace to top MLJ and Sanu's numbers. I'd argue Dalton is playing the same but he's being hindered by the line. Outside of that, pretty much the whole team has taken a giant step back.

Pretty much every defensive player. The entire o-line. The RB's (also partly on the o-line). It's brutal.

We got drunk on Paul Brown and woke up with a Mike Brown hangover.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.

So true.

There are many reasons, excuses, problems, injuries, shouldn't have been there anyways, blah, blah, for Marvin going zero for the first six PO games.

So here we are 7th times a charm right ? We got there down to last two minutes, had the ball, we've done it.

Then as you all know the rug got jerked out from under it. We lost because we had no discipline, we lost because of no accountability, we lost because of selfishness. So after 13 seasons and six playoff meltdowns we were finally there and at this critical moment we had zero discipline !

Marvin was done right then and there.

Beats getting drunk and waking up with Mike Brown.  Mrs. Brown can tell you that's no picnic.

When you can't win a playoff game after a 12-4 season...and actually implode in the playoffs...it's over.

Man, this is it. Right on target.

There is another active thread where Shake put together a ranking system for all the NFL coaches.  Obviously, Belichick is at the top.  He and Marvin are the two longest tenured NFL coaches.  There is absolutely no way a Belichick coached team would have collapsed like that.  No way they would have shown that little discipline, that small of an amount of composure.

Come on man. You know good and well it's, "third time's a charm". Since they bypassed the first 2 'third times'--0-3, 0-6--they have to lose 2 more until they get to the 3rd, 3rd time.

So, "third third time's a charm' is the magical one. Just hold out till '18, man.
